Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan are reportedly set to share the screen once again in King. The actress is said to have come on board for a special appearance in a high-profile musical sequence titled “Daddy Cool,” which is expected to be filmed in South Africa later this month.

Kareena Kapoor Khan to Make Special Appearance in ‘King’

According to industry sources, Kareena Kapoor Khan will spend around five days shooting for the song alongside Shah Rukh Khan in South Africa. The sequence is being planned on a large scale and is expected to be an important musical moment in the action thriller.

The reported collaboration will reunite Shah Rukh and Kareena after their previous appearances together in films including Asoka, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…, and Ra.One.

“Daddy Cool” is reportedly being designed as a major spectacle, with the makers aiming to present the two actors together in a fresh setting.

“Daddy Cool is being mounted as a very special song and will bring Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena together in a way audiences haven’t seen before,” a source said. “It is expected to be one of the biggest highlights of King, and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to make it memorable.”

‘Daddy Cool’ to Feature International Collaboration

The song is also expected to bring together artists from India and abroad. While the name of the international performer has not been revealed, the makers are reportedly keeping the details under wraps.

The music for the track has been composed by Sachin-Jigar, who are behind the song’s reported score. Further information about the international artist and the song’s release is expected to emerge as production moves forward.

What We Know About Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘King’

Directed by Siddharth Anand, King is being produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures. The action thriller features an ensemble cast that includes Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan and Jaideep Ahlawat.

Shah Rukh Khan plays a seasoned assassin in the film, which also marks his first full-length on-screen collaboration with daughter Suhana Khan.

The film is being mounted on a large scale, with filming taking place across Poland, South Africa and India. King is scheduled to arrive in cinemas worldwide on December 24, 2026.
