The Vivo X500 Ultra is expected to arrive in China next year as the top-end model in the company’s upcoming smartphone series. It could join the Vivo X500, Vivo X500 Pro and Vivo X500 Pro Max as the fourth device in the lineup. While its launch has primarily been associated with the Chinese market, recent reports suggest that the flagship could also reach select international markets.

The smartphone has reportedly appeared in IMEI database listings, adding to speculation about a possible global release. Separately, leaks suggest that Vivo may change the primary camera hardware compared with its predecessor while introducing a new telephoto sensor.

Vivo X500 Ultra Global Launch: What the IMEI Listings Reveal

The Vivo X500 Ultra has appeared in an IMEI database in Türkiye with the model number V2660. Another listing reportedly identifies a device with the model number J2613 under the Jovi brand, which Vivo uses in Brazil.

These listings have fuelled speculation that the Vivo X500 Ultra could launch in selected international markets, including Türkiye and Brazil. However, Vivo has not officially confirmed its global launch plans.

Earlier reports had suggested that the handset might remain exclusive to China. The uncertainty comes amid reports of rising manufacturing costs linked to shortages of DRAM and NAND memory chips and wider supply chain disruptions. Similar concerns have also been cited in reports about the possible international availability of the Oppo Find X10 Ultra.

Vivo X500 Ultra Expected Processor and Main Camera

Specifications of an upcoming Ultra-series smartphone that GSMArena identifies as the Vivo X500 Ultra.

According to the leak, the handset could be powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, which is said to offer a maximum clock speed of 5.01GHz.

The smartphone is also tipped to feature a 50MP primary rear camera using Sony’s LYT910 sensor, with a 35mm-equivalent focal length. If these details prove accurate, the main camera would have a lower megapixel count than the 200MP primary camera on the Vivo X300 Ultra, which uses a 1/1.12-inch sensor.

However, the reported change in the main camera’s resolution does not necessarily mean that the entire camera system will receive fewer upgrades.

Vivo X500 Ultra Camera and Display Specifications

Alongside the reported 50MP primary camera, the Vivo X500 Ultra is said to be undergoing testing with a 200MP telephoto camera. According to a recent report, this sensor could measure 1/1.12 inches.

The device is also expected to feature a 6.85-inch LTPO display supplied by BOE, with a resolution described as “2K+” and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz.

These details remain based on reports and leaks, and Vivo has not officially confirmed the smartphone’s specifications, pricing or international availability. More information is expected to emerge as the anticipated launch approaches.
