Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S27 series is expected to arrive early next year as the successor to the Galaxy S26 lineup. The rumoured range could include four models: the Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, Galaxy S27 Ultra and Galaxy S27 Pro. Although Samsung has not officially announced the new smartphones, recent certification listings have revealed details about the battery units reportedly intended for the Galaxy S27 Ultra and Galaxy S27 Pro.

The listings suggest that Samsung could introduce larger batteries in its next-generation flagship phones. However, the certified components’ actual capacities have not been disclosed.

Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra and S27 Pro Battery Listings

According to listings on the Safety Korea certification database, battery units associated with the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra and Galaxy S27 Pro have received safety certification.

The battery for the Galaxy S27 Ultra reportedly carries the model number EB-BS958DBY, while the Galaxy S27 Pro’s unit is identified as EB-BS957CBY. Their respective certification numbers are YU10899-26034 and YU10899-26036.

Both batteries are reportedly manufactured by Zhuhai CosMX Power Jinwan Subsidiary in China. The certification records also include images of the battery units, but they do not specify their capacities.

Galaxy S27 Ultra and S27 Pro Expected Battery Capacity

Earlier information reportedly linked to China’s 3C certification database suggested that the Galaxy S27 Ultra could feature a battery rated at 5,534mAh, potentially advertised as a 5,700mAh unit. The Galaxy S27 Pro, meanwhile, is tipped to pack a 5,087mAh-rated battery, which could be marketed as 5,200mAh.

Both smartphones are also expected to support 60W wired charging, according to the reported details.

If these figures prove accurate, the Galaxy S27 Ultra would offer a larger battery than the 5,000mAh unit in the Galaxy S26 Ultra. For comparison, the standard Galaxy S26 features a 4,300mAh battery, while the Galaxy S26+ comes with a 4,900mAh unit.

However, the batteries listed on Safety Korea could be prototype components. Their specifications may differ from those of the batteries eventually used in retail devices, so the reported capacities should be treated as unconfirmed.

Samsung Galaxy S27 Series Launch Timeline and Expected Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy S27 series is expected to be unveiled in January next year. According to current rumours, the Galaxy S27 Ultra could feature a larger 6.89-inch display, while the Galaxy S27 Pro may come with a 6.47-inch screen.

The Ultra model is also tipped to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Extreme chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage.

Samsung has not yet confirmed the launch date, battery capacities or other specifications of the Galaxy S27 lineup. More details are expected to emerge as the anticipated launch approaches.
