Fresh details have emerged in the investigation into the firing incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff. According to police sources, the accused allegedly test-fired a weapon at a location near Mumbai before the attack. A separate incident reportedly occurred while they were checking the firearm inside their hotel room in Andheri, where a bullet allegedly struck the bed.
During interrogation, the accused reportedly revealed the location where they had practised firing. According to sources, one suspect fired two rounds during the test, while the other fired one. Investigators believe the alleged practice was intended to ensure that the weapon was functioning properly before the planned attack.
Gun Misfire Reportedly Occurred in Andheri Hotel Room
Police sources said a misfire occurred while the accused were testing the firearm in their Andheri hotel room. During the incident, a bullet reportedly hit the bed. The incident apparently did not attract the attention of hotel staff or anyone outside the room.
Based on the information obtained during questioning, investigators are examining the alleged test-firing location near Mumbai and looking into the preparations made before the shooting involving Tiger Shroff.
Two More Arrests Take Total to 10
Mumbai Police arrested two additional suspects on Wednesday in connection with the firing case, bringing the total number of arrests to 10.
The newly arrested accused are expected to be produced before a court in Sonipat, Haryana, for transit remand. If permission is granted, they will be brought to Mumbai for further questioning.
According to reports, the two suspects allegedly played an important role in supplying weapons connected to the case. Investigators are examining their links with the other accused and their suspected involvement in planning and carrying out the incident.
Police to Examine Audio Clip Containing Alleged Threat
In another development, investigators are preparing to analyse an audio recording containing an alleged threat directed at Tiger Shroff. Officials reportedly plan to compare the voice in the clip with samples available in databases maintained by the Punjab and Delhi Police.
These databases are said to contain voice recordings of individuals allegedly associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Police units in Punjab, Delhi and Rajasthan maintain separate collections of voice samples that can help investigators verify the identities of suspected speakers.
Similar voice-verification procedures have reportedly been used in investigations involving alleged threat recordings connected to actor Salman Khan, actor Aamir Khan, filmmaker Rohit Shetty and the late politician Baba Siddique, among others.
Investigators are now examining the audio recording alongside other evidence and leads to identify those allegedly involved and establish their respective roles in the Tiger Shroff firing case.
