Kolkata: Several stocks are likely to remain in focus during Friday’s trading session, September 25, following important corporate announcements. Sterlite Technologies, Dr Lal PathLabs, Nykaa, JSW Cement and several other companies have reported developments involving acquisitions, new projects, business expansion, fundraising and regulatory matters.

Sterlite Technologies, Nykaa and JSW Cement

Sterlite Technologies: Sterlite Technologies has expanded its Neuralis Data Center portfolio with the launch of pre-terminated fibre trunk assemblies ranging from 48F to 6,912F. The high-density cabling products are aimed at hyperscale and enterprise data centres. The company is targeting growing bandwidth requirements driven by artificial intelligence, cloud computing and high-performance computing.

Nykaa: FSN E-Commerce Ventures, which operates Nykaa, has entered into a partnership with L’Oréal’s corporate venture capital fund, Business Opportunities for L’Oréal Development (BOLD). Under the arrangement, the two companies will jointly invest in fast-growing beauty and personal care brands in India, with a focus on supporting emerging Indian businesses in the sector.

JSW Cement: JSW Cement has received a show-cause notice from the Central Tax Department concerning an alleged GST underpayment for the period from April 2022 to March 2024. The department has proposed a GST demand of approximately ₹229.85 crore, citing incorrect classification. The notice also includes applicable interest and a proposed penalty of 10%.

Separately, JSW One Platforms, promoted by JSW Steel and JSW Cement, has submitted its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) to SEBI, BSE and NSE for a proposed IPO of up to ₹3,054 crore.

Dr Lal PathLabs, LCC Projects and Vedanta

Dr Lal PathLabs: The diagnostics company has approved the acquisition of a 70% stake in SN Genelab Private Limited. The transaction involves buying shares from existing shareholders for a maximum consideration of ₹168 crore. An additional earn-out component of up to ₹31.5 crore is also part of the deal. Following completion, SN Genelab will become a subsidiary of Dr Lal PathLabs.

LCC Projects: LCC Projects has emerged as the L-1 bidder for the Chhoti Kalisindh Medium Irrigation Project in Rajasthan. The project is valued at ₹653.34 crore and involves EPC work for developing a sprinkler-based irrigation system integrated with solar power across the Chhoti Kalisindh and Chahurni rivers in Gangdhar, Jhalawar.

Vedanta: Vedanta has clarified details related to its ESOS 2026 scheme. The company said the scheme is fully performance-linked and does not provide for time-based or guaranteed vesting. Further information on the matter will be included in the company’s future annual reports.

Nava: Nava announced that its subsidiary, Mamba Solar Energy, has commissioned a 100 MW solar power plant in Zambia. The facility has also started supplying electricity to the Zambian power grid.

Mayashil Ventures: The company has secured a work order worth ₹17.94 crore from A&T Infracon. The order covers the manufacturing, supply, installation and delivery of precast RCC box culverts in the Jammu sector.

M&M Financial Services: The company’s debenture issuance committee has approved the issue of secured, rated, listed and redeemable non-convertible debentures (NCDs) worth up to ₹2,000 crore. The proposed issue will be carried out through private placement.

Financial Stocks in Focus

Financial stocks may also attract attention during Friday’s session. The sector came under pressure on Thursday after the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) proposed significant changes to insurance commission regulations.

Investors are expected to continue tracking insurance-related stocks as the market assesses the potential impact of the proposed changes on commissions and insurance distribution businesses.
