Mini has introduced the Cooper Oxford Edition in India at an ex-showroom price of ₹55.5 lakh. Based on the three-door Cooper S, this limited-edition model celebrates 25 years of modern Mini production at the brand’s Oxford manufacturing plant in the UK.
Pre-bookings opened on October 8, 2026, and deliveries have already begun. The special edition features exclusive exterior and interior styling elements that set it apart from the standard Cooper S.
Mini Cooper Oxford Edition: Exterior and Interior Highlights
The Mini Cooper Oxford Edition is available in two colour options: Indigo Sunset Blue and Chilli Red. Both versions feature a prominent Union Jack graphic on the roof, complemented by red-and-white stripes extending from the front grille to the tailgate.
Other exterior highlights include white outside rearview mirror housings, exclusive 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels with blue-and-red centre caps, and a crossed-flags emblem on the bootlid. The overall shape and proportions of the three-door hatchback remain unchanged.
Inside, the car retains the standard Cooper’s dashboard design and grey-beige colour scheme, while incorporating special details inspired by British heritage. These include black John Cooper Works-specification seats, Union Jack graphics on the steering wheel and floor mats, and blue-and-red Oxford-branded door sills. The steering wheel also features a textured flag pattern at its base.
The 9.4-inch circular infotainment touchscreen receives a Union Jack-inspired interface theme, while the key fob features matching design elements. Apart from these additions, the cabin layout remains largely the same as the regular model.
Mini Cooper Oxford Edition: Engine and Performance
Under the bonnet, the Oxford Edition uses the same powertrain as the standard Mini Cooper S. It is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces 204hp and 300Nm of torque.
The engine is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, with power delivered to the front wheels. According to Mini, the hatchback can accelerate from 0 to 100kph in 6.6 seconds.
The company claims a fuel efficiency figure of 16.82kpl. No mechanical upgrades have been introduced, with the special edition focusing primarily on exclusive styling and commemorative features rather than improved performance.
Mini Cooper Oxford Edition: Price and Availability
Priced at ₹55.5 lakh (ex-showroom), the Mini Cooper Oxford Edition will be sold in limited numbers in India. Pre-bookings began on October 8, 2026, and deliveries have commenced.
With its distinctive Union Jack-inspired design, special cabin details and unchanged Cooper S powertrain, the Oxford Edition celebrates Mini’s manufacturing heritage while retaining the familiar driving performance of the standard model.
