Samsung is reportedly preparing to introduce several new Galaxy S and Galaxy A series smartphones in 2027, including the Galaxy S27 lineup, Galaxy A58 and Galaxy A37. However, the upcoming devices may not bring significant hardware changes, as the company is expected to focus primarily on updated processors in select models, according to a new leak.

The South Korean smartphone maker launched the Galaxy S26 series in India and other global markets earlier this year, followed by the Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37 mid-range smartphones. Now, a tipster has shared details about the possible specifications and features of their successors, suggesting that Samsung could retain much of the existing hardware in its next-generation devices.

Samsung Galaxy S27 Series Specifications (Expected)

In a post on X, tipster Debayan Roy (@Gadgetsdata) shared details about Samsung’s anticipated Galaxy S and Galaxy A series smartphones for 2027. The reported lineup includes the Samsung Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra.

According to the leak, the standard Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ could retain the same rear camera configuration as their predecessors. Both smartphones are expected to feature a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor with a 1/1.56-inch sensor size and optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with up to 3x optical zoom.

For selfies and video calls, the two handsets could continue to use a 12-megapixel front camera, similar to the Galaxy S26 series.

The Galaxy S27 is tipped to feature a 4,300mAh battery, while the Galaxy S27+ could pack a larger 4,900mAh battery. Both models are expected to support 45W wired fast charging.

Galaxy S27, S27+ and S27 Ultra Chipset Details

The reported hardware changes could primarily involve the processors. The Galaxy S26 series models mentioned in the report are powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2600 chipset, manufactured using a 2nm process. Their successors, the Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+, are expected to feature the Exynos 2700 SoC.

The rumoured Galaxy S27 Pro could also use the Exynos 2700 chipset in global markets. However, the Galaxy S27 Ultra is tipped to feature a new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series processor.

The leak also suggests that the two higher-end models, the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra, could come with 16-megapixel front-facing cameras. Samsung has not officially confirmed the specifications or processor choices for any of these upcoming smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy A58 and Galaxy A37 May Also Get New Processors

Samsung is also expected to expand its mid-range smartphone portfolio in 2027 with the Galaxy A58 and Galaxy A37. According to the tipster, these models could follow a similar approach, with updated chipsets being the primary change rather than major hardware upgrades.

Both smartphones are tipped to feature 5,000mAh batteries with support for 45W wired fast charging. They could also include 12-megapixel front cameras for selfies and video calls.

The reported specifications remain unconfirmed, and Samsung has yet to announce its 2027 smartphone lineup. If the leak proves accurate, the next-generation Galaxy S and Galaxy A series devices could focus on processor upgrades while retaining several existing camera and battery features.
