Haiwaan Box Office Collection Day 1: Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan’s much-awaited reunion has failed to create a major opening at the box office. The Priyadarshan-directed crime thriller reportedly earned around Rs 3 crore on its first day, according to early estimates.

The film arrived in theatres on Friday amid strong competition from Mirzapur The Movie and Hanuman Ansh. Despite the star power and the return of Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan together after nearly two decades, Haiwaan witnessed a relatively slow start.

Haiwaan Box Office Collection Day 1

Haiwaan brings Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan back together on the big screen after 18 years. Their previous collaboration was Tashan, which released in 2008.

The reunion generated considerable interest before the film’s release. However, advance ticket sales reportedly remained modest, and the movie received mixed reactions from audiences after its theatrical debut.

According to an early report from Sacnilk, Haiwaan recorded an estimated Rs 3 crore net collection in India on Day 1. Since these are preliminary figures, the final opening-day numbers could change once official data is available.

Mirzapur The Movie Creates Trouble for Haiwaan

The Akshay-Saif starrer has entered a crowded theatrical market, making its box-office journey more challenging.

Mirzapur The Movie continues to attract audiences, while Hanuman Ansh has also maintained a strong presence. Both films are reportedly benefiting from positive audience response and substantial screen allocation.

As a result, Haiwaan is facing competition not only for viewers but also for valuable screens across the Hindi-speaking market.

Mirzapur The Movie reportedly collected Rs 9 crore net on Day 8, taking its worldwide gross beyond Rs 225 crore. These numbers have strengthened its position at the box office and added pressure on the new release.

Meanwhile, Hanuman Ansh continued its theatrical run with an estimated Rs 10.50 crore India net collection on Day 36. Its total domestic net collection has reportedly reached Rs 173.63 crore.

With audiences currently split between three major titles, Haiwaan has struggled to achieve the powerful opening that might have been expected from an Akshay Kumar-Saif Ali Khan reunion.

About Haiwaan

Directed by Priyadarshan, Haiwaan is produced by Venkat K. Narayan and Shailaja Desai Phan under the banners of KVN Productions and Thespian Films.

The movie features Boman Irani, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Saiyami Kher in important roles. Veteran Malayalam actor Mohanlal also appears in a cameo.

Haiwaan is a Hindi adaptation of Oppam, the 2016 Malayalam crime thriller directed by Priyadarshan and starring Mohanlal.

Haiwaan Box Office: What’s Next?

The opening-day performance puts the focus on the film’s weekend business. With strong competition from established releases, Haiwaan will need substantial growth over Saturday and Sunday to improve its theatrical run.

The final weekend figures will provide a clearer picture of whether the Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan starrer can recover from its slow opening.
