Motorola appears to be preparing to expand its foldable smartphone portfolio with a new book-style device, reportedly called the Motorola Razr Flex 2027. The upcoming handset has recently appeared in multiple leaks, revealing details about its possible design, hardware and features.

While Motorola has not officially announced the device or confirmed its launch date, a fresh leak has provided a possible name for the smartphone. Unlike the company’s existing clamshell-style Razr models, the new foldable is expected to feature a wider design similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series and Google’s Pixel Fold. It is also tipped to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor with 12GB of RAM.

Motorola Razr Flex 2027 Name Revealed in Leak

Tipster Evan Blass has hinted at the Motorola Razr Flex 2027 name through a post on X. The shared screenshot reportedly appears to come from Motorola’s official website, although the smartphone has not yet been listed on the company’s website.

Earlier reports had referred to the upcoming device as the Razr Flex. However, the latest leak suggests that Motorola could launch it under the Razr Flex 2027 branding.

The company has not confirmed either the official name or the launch schedule. Previous reports suggested that the smartphone could make its debut in December.

Motorola Razr Flex 2027 Expected Display and Design

The Motorola Razr Flex 2027 is expected to feature a short and wide book-style foldable design. According to previous leaks, the device could come with a large 6.92-inch internal OLED folding display supporting a 165Hz refresh rate.

The smartphone is also tipped to feature a 4.97-inch cover display, allowing users to access essential functions without unfolding the device. In terms of durability, it could come with IP48 and IP49 certifications.

Expected Processor, Camera and Battery

Under the hood, the Motorola Razr Flex 2027 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM. The upcoming foldable could run Android 17 straight out of the box.

For photography, the handset is tipped to feature a dual rear camera system with two 50-megapixel sensors. This suggests that both rear cameras could offer high-resolution photography capabilities.

The device is also expected to house a 5,000mAh battery, which could support its large folding display and other hardware features.

Expected Colour Options

Motorola could introduce the Razr Flex 2027 in two colour options: Dark Botanical Garden and Coriander. However, the company has not officially confirmed the available finishes or any other specifications.

With its wider foldable design, high-refresh-rate display and Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, the Razr Flex 2027 could mark an important addition to Motorola’s foldable smartphone lineup. More details about its features, pricing and launch are expected to emerge ahead of its official announcement.
