iQOO is reportedly developing a new smartphone for its Z-series lineup, with leaks suggesting that the upcoming device could feature an unusually large display and a massive battery. According to a recent tip, the handset may come with a 7-inch screen and a battery capacity exceeding 10,000mAh.
The smartphone has reportedly reached the mould stage of development, indicating that its physical dimensions and overall design have largely been finalised. Although its official name has not been revealed, the device is expected to be part of the upcoming iQOO Z12 series. It could make its debut in China around mid-2027.
iQOO Z12 Series Phone Specifications Leaked
Reaching this stage generally means that the device’s overall shape, dimensions and physical design have been largely decided. However, some hardware specifications could still be modified before the smartphone officially launches.
The leaked details point towards a 7-inch display and a battery with more than 10,000mAh capacity. While the tipster has not disclosed the exact model name, these features suggest that the handset could belong to the iQOO Z12 family.
iQOO Z12S Could Be a Possible Name
The upcoming smartphone could potentially launch as the iQOO Z12S, although there is no confirmation regarding its final name.
The existing iQOO Z11 lineup already includes smartphones with large battery capacities. The standard iQOO Z11 comes with a 9,020mAh battery, while the iQOO Z11S features a larger 10,000mAh battery.
Meanwhile, the iQOO Z11 Turbo follows a different approach by offering a flagship-grade chipset. The upcoming Z12 lineup could follow a similar strategy, with multiple models targeting different smartphone segments.
Other iQOO Z12 Series Phones Also in Development
Apart from the rumoured iQOO Z12S, the company is reportedly working on several other smartphones for its next-generation Z-series lineup.
The iQOO Z12 Turbo is expected to launch in China, while the iQOO Z12x and iQOO Z12 Lite are reportedly being developed for international markets.
However, it remains unclear whether the newly leaked 7-inch smartphone will arrive as the iQOO Z12S or carry a different name. The company has not officially confirmed its specifications, launch schedule or availability.
