Samsung appears to be preparing for the launch of its next-generation flagship smartphone lineup, with the Galaxy S27 series expected to arrive early next year. The upcoming range is rumoured to include four models: Samsung Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, Galaxy S27 Ultra and Galaxy S27 Pro.
While the standard, Plus and Ultra variants are expected to retain their existing positions in the lineup, the new Pro model could sit between the Plus and Ultra versions. Meanwhile, details about the design, features and specifications of the upcoming smartphones have started emerging through leaks. Adding to the developments, the standard Samsung Galaxy S27 has reportedly appeared on India’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification database, hinting at its planned arrival in the country.
Samsung Galaxy S27 Spotted on BIS Certification Website
An upcoming Samsung smartphone has been spotted on the BIS certification website with the model number SM-S952B/DS. The listing is reportedly associated with a variant of the rumoured Samsung Galaxy S27.
Its appearance on the Indian certification platform suggests that Samsung could be preparing the device for the Indian market. However, the company has not officially confirmed the model number or provided any details about its launch.
Previous reports suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S27 series could debut in India and other global markets in January or February 2027. The standard model is expected to launch alongside the Galaxy S27+, Galaxy S27 Ultra and the rumoured Galaxy S27 Pro.
Samsung Galaxy S27 Expected to Feature Exynos 2700 Chipset
Recent leaks suggest that the standard Samsung Galaxy S27 could be powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2700 processor. A Samsung executive recently confirmed that the upcoming chipset will be manufactured using a 2nm process, similar to its predecessor, while bringing several performance improvements.
The Exynos 2700 has also reportedly delivered better benchmark results than Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset.
According to reported Geekbench 6.5 multi-core CPU test results, the Exynos 2700-powered device achieved a score approximately 20 percent higher than the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, which is equipped with Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor.
Samsung Galaxy S27 Series Expected Specifications
The Exynos 2700 chipset is also expected to power the Samsung Galaxy S27+ alongside the standard Galaxy S27. However, the top-end Galaxy S27 Ultra could use a customised Snapdragon processor instead.
In terms of display, the standard Samsung Galaxy S27 is tipped to feature a 6.27-inch AMOLED screen. If these reports are accurate, it will have the smallest display among the upcoming Galaxy S27 series models.
With the standard Galaxy S27 now reportedly appearing on the BIS database, more details about Samsung’s next flagship lineup could emerge in the coming months. The company is yet to officially announce the devices, their specifications or their launch schedule.
