Kawasaki has introduced the 2027 Z900 with two new colour options while keeping its engine, features and mechanical components unchanged. The updated naked motorcycle continues to carry an ex-showroom price of Rs 9.99 lakh, despite changes to the GST structure.
The Z900 received a major update in 2025, when Kawasaki revised its styling and added several electronic features. For the 2027 model year, the company has opted for a limited cosmetic refresh, retaining the design and technology introduced with the earlier update.
2027 Kawasaki Z900 Gets Two New Colour Options
The key change for the 2027 Kawasaki Z900 is the addition of two new paint schemes. Customers can choose a white finish with a green frame or a grey finish paired with a black frame.
These options replace the 2026 model’s Candy Lime Green paint with a grey frame and its black-and-gold colour combination. Beyond the new colours, the motorcycle retains its muscular design and aggressive Sugomi styling introduced in the 2025 redesign.
Engine, Suspension and Brakes Remain Unchanged
Powering the Z900 is the same 948cc, liquid-cooled, inline-four-cylinder engine. It produces 124hp at 9,500rpm and 98.6Nm of torque at 7,700rpm. Kawasaki has made no changes to the engine or its performance figures for 2027.
The motorcycle also continues with its existing chassis and suspension setup, featuring an upside-down front fork and a backlink rear monoshock. Both suspension units allow adjustments to spring preload and rebound damping, enabling riders to tailor the setup to their preferences.
The braking system also remains unchanged from the previous model.
Features and Electronics Carried Forward
The 2027 Kawasaki Z900 retains the electronics package introduced in 2025. Its equipment includes a 5-inch TFT instrument display with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.
The motorcycle also comes with cornering-sensitive ABS, traction control and cruise control. These features continue to be available without any changes in the latest model year.
Price and Expected Delivery Date
Kawasaki has kept the ex-showroom price of the 2027 Z900 unchanged at Rs 9.99 lakh, despite introducing the new colour combinations. Deliveries of the updated motorcycle are expected to begin on October 28, 2026.
The Z900 remains among the more accessible motorcycles in India’s near-litre-class segment, with the latest update focusing on appearance rather than performance or equipment.
