Bajaj Auto has introduced an updated version of the Pulsar NS400Z at an ex-showroom price of ₹1.90 lakh. The latest model gets a new 5-inch TFT instrument console along with several technology and convenience upgrades.

The updated motorcycle costs around ₹4,000 more than the previous version. While the engine remains unchanged, Bajaj has focused on improving the rider interface and adding connected features to the NS400Z.

New 5-Inch TFT Display With Connected Features

The biggest change on the updated Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z is the new 5-inch TFT display. The redesigned console provides more information and functionality compared with the instrument cluster on the earlier model.

The TFT unit supports Google Maps mirroring, allowing navigation information to be displayed on the motorcycle’s screen. Riders can also control music through the connected system. A document storage function is included as well, providing access to selected vehicle-related information.

The new console also brings the motorcycle’s four ride modes and traction control settings together on the display, making it easier for riders to access these functions.

Ride Modes, Traction Control and Safety Features

The Pulsar NS400Z uses an electronic throttle body that enables its four selectable riding modes. The motorcycle also gets traction control, which is designed to help maintain control in different riding conditions.

Another addition is a USB Type-C charging port, giving riders a more convenient option for charging compatible devices while riding.

Bajaj has also introduced a Panic Brake Alert system on the updated NS400Z. The feature is designed to warn other road users when the motorcycle undergoes sudden and hard braking. It works alongside the existing dual-channel ABS and traction control system.

The bi-directional quickshifter continues to be available on the updated motorcycle.

349cc Engine Continues

The mechanical setup of the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z remains unchanged. It continues to use a 349cc, four-valve, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine that produces 40 PS of maximum power at 9,000 rpm and 33 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm.

The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Bajaj claims a power-to-weight ratio of 229 PS per tonne for the motorcycle.

With this update, Bajaj has concentrated on adding technology, connectivity and rider-focused features rather than making changes to the engine’s performance output.
