Honda Activa Leads the List
The Honda Activa remained the best-selling scooter in August 2026, with 2,55,815 units sold. Its sales increased by 4.73% compared with August last year.
The Activa continues to attract buyers looking for a practical scooter for everyday travel, including commuting to work, shopping and other regular trips. Its ex-showroom price ranges from approximately ₹76,000 to ₹91,000.
TVS Jupiter and Suzuki Access Follow
The TVS Jupiter occupied the second position with 1,47,450 units sold during August 2026. The scooter recorded 3.54% year-on-year growth during the month.
Known for its practical and family-oriented appeal, the Jupiter remains a significant model in the Indian scooter market. Its ex-showroom price ranges from around ₹74,000 to ₹90,000.
The Suzuki Access 125 secured the third position after recording sales of 69,558 units. Its sales grew by 14.39% compared with the same period last year.
The Access 125 starts at approximately ₹80,000 ex-showroom, while its higher variants cost around ₹98,000. Its 125cc engine makes it an option for buyers looking for a little more performance while retaining suitability for everyday commuting.
Bajaj Chetak Records 272.83% Growth
The Bajaj Chetak was the fourth best-selling scooter in August 2026, with 52,248 units sold. The electric scooter recorded an impressive 272.83% year-on-year increase in sales.
The Chetak’s starting ex-showroom price is around ₹96,000, while the price of its higher variants goes up to approximately ₹1.35 lakh.
TVS iQube Completes the Top Five
The TVS iQube secured the fifth position with 42,882 units sold in August 2026. Its sales increased by 75.50% year-on-year.
The electric scooter starts at around ₹95,000 ex-showroom, while the price of the higher-end variants reaches approximately ₹1.75 lakh. The iQube is positioned as an electric alternative for customers looking to move away from conventional petrol scooters.
