New Delhi: Triumph has previewed three additional motorcycles for its 2027 lineup alongside the Bonneville T40. The upcoming models include the Street Triple, Tiger 900 and Tiger 1200, with the company planning to reveal more details about each motorcycle over the coming months.
Among the three, the Street Triple is set to receive the most substantial changes, including a new engine and redesigned chassis. The Tiger 900 and Tiger 1200, meanwhile, are expected to gain electronic and performance upgrades.
2027 Triumph Street Triple to Get New 798cc Engine
The Street Triple is undergoing a major transformation for the 2027 model year. Triumph is preparing a new 798cc inline-three engine for the motorcycle, with its development drawing on technology from the company’s Moto2 programme.
Triumph has recently outlined several changes made to its Moto2 engine, including a redesigned cylinder head and valvetrain, an updated combustion chamber and improvements to airflow through the ports. These changes are said to increase peak power by around 6 per cent while cutting approximately 2kg from the engine’s weight.
The road-going Street Triple is expected to incorporate elements of this engine architecture, although its specifications are likely to be adapted for everyday road use.
The motorcycle will also feature a significantly revised chassis. Preview images show a new frame, a larger double-sided swingarm and a redesigned exhaust system positioned beneath the engine.
The front-end styling has also been changed considerably. Triumph has moved away from the familiar twin-headlamp setup, replacing it with slim perimeter LED lights positioned around a central main beam.
Tiger 900 and Tiger 1200 to Add Radar Technology
Triumph is also preparing updates for the Tiger 900 and Tiger 1200 adventure motorcycles. Both models are set to receive performance enhancements for 2027, while preview images show radar hardware positioned at the front of the motorcycles.
The addition of radar technology points towards new rider-assistance functions, potentially including adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring. However, Triumph has not yet confirmed the complete range of features that will be offered.
The Tiger 1200 has already been spotted undergoing real-world testing, including during Sam Sunderland’s recent round-the-world record attempt.
Both adventure motorcycles will receive updated bodywork, although Triumph is retaining the recognisable design language and overall character associated with the Tiger family.
Triumph 2027 Motorcycle Reveal Dates
Triumph plans to unveil the three motorcycles separately over the next few months. The Tiger 1200 is scheduled to be revealed first on October 27, 2026.
The new Street Triple 798 will follow on November 17, 2026, while the updated Tiger 900 is scheduled for its reveal on December 15, 2026.
The staggered launch schedule means more technical details, specifications and features of the three motorcycles are expected to emerge with each individual reveal.
