Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia’s The Vvaan – Force of the Forrest opened in cinemas with an India net collection of Rs 8 crore on Friday. The film received mixed responses from critics and audiences, but its first-day business was higher than that of some recent releases.
As per Sacnilk, The Vvaan recorded an overall occupancy of around 43 per cent across 6,745 shows in India on its opening day. The film saw a gradual increase in audience turnout through the day, with morning shows registering nearly 12 per cent occupancy. Afternoon shows reached around 24 per cent, while evening occupancy stood at approximately 27 per cent.
Among the major markets mentioned in the report, Mumbai recorded the highest occupancy at 32 per cent across 491 shows. NCR registered around 25 per cent occupancy from 692 shows, while Pune recorded the same figure across 186 shows. Bengaluru reported approximately 26 per cent occupancy across 136 shows, with Lucknow also recording around 26 per cent from 134 shows.
The Vvaan Beats Batwara 1947 and Haiwaan on Day 1
With Rs 8 crore in India net earnings, The Vvaan opened ahead of Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta’s Batwara 1947. The film had earned Rs 5.75 crore net in India on its first day.
Sidharth Malhotra’s latest release also recorded a higher opening than Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan’s Haiwaan. The latter began its theatrical journey with an India net collection of Rs 3 crore and ended its run with a worldwide collection of less than Rs 5 crore.
Meanwhile, The Vvaan is competing for audience attention with Vibe, which reached theatres a week earlier. Vibe has recorded Rs 11.25 crore net in India after seven days of its theatrical run.

Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and Arunabh Kumar, The Vvaan – Force of the Forrest stars Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead roles.
The supporting cast includes Sunil Grover, Shweta Tiwari, Anup Soni, Maniesh Paul, Avtar Gill, Milind Gunaji, Sulabha Arya, Durgesh Kumar, Sundip Ved and Akshaan Sehrawat.
