Redmi 17C 5G: Redmi has launched a new budget-focused 5G smartphone in India, bringing a large battery, a high-refresh-rate display and a MediaTek Dimensity processor to the segment. The new Redmi 17C 5G comes with a 50MP main camera, up to 6GB of RAM and a 6,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging.

Redmi 17C 5G Price and Availability
The Redmi 17C 5G has been introduced in India in two configurations. The variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at ₹20,999, while the higher-end model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage costs ₹22,999.
The phone will go on sale from October 7. Buyers can choose from three colour options: Coffee Brew, Purple Dawn and Dark Night.

The Redmi 17C 5G runs on Android 16 with Xiaomi HyperOS 3. Powering the smartphone is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU for graphics processing.
On the front, the phone features a 6.9-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1600 × 720 pixels. The screen comes with a waterdrop-style notch and supports a 120Hz refresh rate. It also carries low-blue-light and flicker-free certifications aimed at providing a more comfortable viewing experience.

One of the major highlights of the Redmi 17C 5G is its 6,000mAh battery. According to the company, the battery can provide around 23 hours of YouTube video playback or up to 28 hours of Instagram scrolling on a full charge.
The phone supports 33W fast charging and also offers 10W reverse charging, allowing it to provide power to compatible devices.
For connectivity, the smartphone supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC. It has an IP64 rating for protection against water and dust. Redmi has also included Wet Touch Technology 2.0, which is designed to allow the touchscreen to respond even when the user’s hands are wet or greasy.
The Redmi 17C 5G also comes with AI-based features, including access to Google Gemini and Nano Banana.
