Millions of farmers covered under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme are waiting for the next instalment of financial assistance. The 23rd instalment was released on June 20, 2026, and the 24th instalment is now expected to be the next payment under the scheme. However, an official release date for the 24th instalment has not yet been announced on the PM-KISAN portal.
Under PM-KISAN, eligible farmer families receive ₹6,000 every year through three equal instalments of ₹2,000. The money is transferred directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
PM Kisan 24th Installment: What Farmers Should Know
Farmers waiting for the next payment should ensure that their required details and verification are complete. e-KYC is mandatory for registered PM-KISAN beneficiaries, while Aadhaar-linked bank account details and land records are also important for benefit verification.
The government has also identified cases requiring verification, including certain land ownership and multiple-beneficiary situations. Benefits in such cases can be withheld until the necessary physical verification is completed.
Farmers who have not completed their e-KYC or have discrepancies in their bank or land-record details should complete the required formalities to avoid issues with future payments.
Kannauj Farmers Asked to Complete Pending Formalities
In Kannauj district, around 40,823 farmers have reportedly faced delays in the linking or verification of their details on the PM-KISAN portal because of issues related to e-KYC, land records or bank account information.
The Agriculture Department has advised affected farmers to correct their details at the earliest. Deputy Agriculture Director Santosh Kumar said that around 2.93 lakh farmers in the district are receiving benefits under the PM-KISAN scheme, with ₹6,000 being transferred annually in three instalments.
Farmers with pending land-related verification can approach the concerned revenue official or tehsil office. For e-KYC and Aadhaar-related requirements, assistance can be obtained through designated service channels, including Jan Seva Kendra.
Check Details Before the Next Payment
Some beneficiary records may require correction where information does not match the eligibility requirements, including cases involving previous landowners or multiple members of the same family receiving benefits. The PM-KISAN portal provides facilities for checking beneficiary status and updating certain information.
Farmers should make sure that documents such as Aadhaar and land records are submitted clearly and that any required supporting documents are accurate. Completing the verification process in time can help avoid delays when the next instalment is processed.
