Commercial LPG cylinder prices have increased from October 1, with oil marketing companies revising rates just ahead of the festive season. The latest hike applies to 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders, with prices rising by between ₹60 and ₹71.50 across different cities.

In Delhi, the price has increased by ₹62.50, taking the cost of a 19-kg commercial cylinder to ₹2,810. The cylinder had already become ₹9.50 more expensive in September, when its price reached ₹2,747.50.

The latest revision means businesses and establishments that depend on commercial LPG will now have to pay more for their cooking fuel.

Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices in Major Cities

Patna recorded the highest increase among the cities mentioned, with the price of a 19-kg commercial cylinder rising by ₹71.50 to ₹3,100.50.

In Chennai, the rate has increased by ₹66.50, taking the price to ₹2,983. Mumbai has seen a ₹63 increase, with the commercial cylinder now costing ₹2,764.

In Delhi, the revised price stands at ₹2,810 after the ₹62.50 increase, while the price in Lucknow has reached ₹2,932.50.

Across the country, the increase varies by location, with commercial LPG cylinders becoming costlier by around ₹60, ₹66 or as much as ₹71.50 in different markets.

Domestic LPG Cylinder Prices Remain Unchanged

The latest price revision is limited to commercial LPG cylinders. There has been no change in the price of the 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder.

In Delhi, the domestic cylinder continues to cost ₹942. In Mumbai, it is priced at ₹941.50, while consumers in Chennai and Kolkata pay ₹957.50 and ₹968, respectively.

Therefore, households using the standard 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder will continue to pay the existing rates despite the increase in commercial cylinder prices.

Commercial LPG Gets Costlier Ahead of Festive Season

The October 1 revision comes at the beginning of the festive season, increasing the cost of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders in several parts of the country.

For businesses using commercial cylinders, the latest increase adds to their fuel expenses. The actual price, however, depends on the city and the applicable rate announced by oil marketing companies.
