Jeep India has revealed a new special edition of its popular Wrangler SUV, called the Whitecap Mojito Limited Edition. Based on the Wrangler Rubicon, the new version brings a distinctive two-tone exterior, additional interior touches and exclusive styling elements, while retaining the standard model’s mechanical setup. Pre-bookings for the limited edition have also opened.
The Whitecap Mojito is expected to be positioned at a premium over the Wrangler Rubicon, which is currently priced at Rs 70.8 lakh (ex-showroom). Jeep has not yet announced the final price of the special edition.
Jeep Wrangler Whitecap Mojito: What’s New?
The biggest change is the exterior colour combination. The SUV is finished exclusively in a bright Mojito green shade, paired with a contrasting white roof. The white treatment continues to the front grille surround, giving the Wrangler a distinctive two-tone appearance.
The special edition also features ‘1941’ decals on the sides, paying tribute to the heritage of the original Willys MB Jeep. Body-coloured fenders and a white ‘4 Wheel Drive’ decal on the tailgate add further visual changes.
Inside the cabin, Jeep has added a built-in dashcam and reinforced grab handles. Most of the remaining equipment is carried over from the Rubicon, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 12-way electrically adjustable front seats, ADAS, six airbags, dual-zone climate control, a nine-speaker Alpine audio system with a subwoofer and a 7-inch driver display.
No Mechanical Changes
The Whitecap Mojito remains mechanically identical to the Wrangler Rubicon. It uses a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, direct-injection turbo-petrol engine producing 272 hp and 400 Nm of torque.
The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, with power delivered to all four wheels through Jeep’s 4×4 system. There are no mechanical upgrades specific to the Whitecap Mojito edition.
This means the special edition primarily focuses on its exclusive styling and additional equipment rather than changes to the Wrangler’s performance or drivetrain.
Jeep’s India Line-up
Jeep’s current India portfolio includes the Compass, Meridian, Wrangler and Grand Cherokee. The Whitecap Mojito adds another limited-edition option to the Wrangler range, which continues to focus on Jeep’s distinctive off-road character.
The special edition is being introduced at a time when the Indian SUV market has become increasingly competitive, with customers looking beyond basic equipment and dashboard technology when choosing premium vehicles.
