The iQOO 16 is reportedly preparing for its global debut after the smartphone’s international variant was spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. The flagship phone has already been introduced in China with high-end specifications, including a 6.85-inch Samsung M16 OLED display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset and an 8,400mAh battery.
While iQOO has not officially confirmed the global or India launch, the latest Geekbench listing suggests that an international version of the device is being tested. Here is everything currently known about the iQOO 16, including its Geekbench performance, specifications and Chinese pricing.
iQOO 16 Global Variant Appears on Geekbench
Tipster Abhishek Yadav spotted the smartphone on Geekbench, where it is listed under the model number ‘vivo I2607’. According to the tipster, this model represents the global version of the iQOO 16.
The Geekbench listing shows the device powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, identified by the model number SM8975. The processor configuration includes two cores clocked at 5.01GHz, three cores at 4.03GHz and three cores at 3.74GHz. Graphics are handled by an Adreno 850 GPU.
The tested device features 12GB of RAM and runs Android 17. On Geekbench V7, the smartphone recorded 2,944 points in the single-core test and 10,029 points in the multi-core test.
iQOO has yet to announce an official global launch date or confirm when the smartphone will arrive in India.
iQOO 16 Price in China
The iQOO 16 was launched in China in four configurations: 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, 12GB RAM with 512GB storage, 16GB RAM with 512GB storage and 16GB RAM with 1TB storage.
The Chinese pricing starts at CNY 5,999, which is approximately ₹86,000, while the top-end 16GB RAM and 1TB storage model is priced at CNY 8,499, equivalent to around ₹1,21,000.
The final pricing and availability of the iQOO 16 in India are yet to be revealed.
iQOO 16 Specifications and Features
The iQOO 16 comes with a 6.85-inch Samsung M16 OLED display offering a 3,168 × 1,440-pixel resolution. The panel supports a 165Hz LTPO refresh rate and 3,300Hz PWM dimming, while the display has a pixel density of 508ppi. These specifications are aimed at delivering a responsive experience, particularly during gaming.
Powering the smartphone is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset. The device uses LPDDR5X Ultra Pro RAM with speeds of up to 10.7Gbps and UFS 4.1 storage technology. On the software side, the phone runs OriginOS 7 based on Android 17.
The iQOO 16 packs an 8,400mAh battery with support for 100W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging.
For photography, the smartphone features a triple rear camera system. It includes a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50Q primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and LOFIC technology. The main camera is paired with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 50-megapixel Sony periscope telephoto sensor with OIS.
For selfies and video calls, the phone has a 32-megapixel GalaxyCore GC32E1 front camera. The rear camera system supports 8K video recording and up to 100x digital zoom.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, an IR blaster and USB 3.2 Gen 1. The smartphone also carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
iQOO 16 Design and Dimensions
The iQOO 16 measures 163.75mm in height and 76.90mm in width. The Track variant has a thickness of 8.30mm and weighs 222.5 grams.
With its flagship processor, high-refresh-rate OLED display, large battery, fast charging and advanced camera setup, the iQOO 16 is positioned as a premium smartphone. However, buyers in India will have to wait for an official announcement from iQOO regarding its launch date, variants and pricing.
