Indian Railways is expanding its services to improve connectivity and meet the growing travel demand. Along with several special trains being planned for the festive season, the Railway Board has approved two new train services connecting different parts of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.
The new services are expected to provide an additional travel option for passengers and daily commuters travelling between these regions. However, the Railways has not yet announced the official commencement dates or final timetables for the two new services. Separate notifications will be issued regarding their operation.
Pune-Beed Express: Route, Timings and Stops
The Pune-Beed Express has been approved as a daily service between Pune and Beed in Maharashtra.
Train No. 11433, operating from Pune to Beed, will leave Pune at 10:45 PM and reach Beed at 6:00 AM the following morning.
For the return journey, Train No. 11434 will depart from Beed at 9:30 PM and arrive in Pune at 5:20 AM.
The important stations on the route will include Uruli, Daund Chord Line, Shrigonda Road, Ahilyanagar, Narayandoho, New Ashti and Amalner Bhandyache.
Pratapnagar-Tanda Road MEMU Service
Another approved service is the Pratapnagar-Tanda Road MEMU, which will operate daily and improve rail connectivity between areas along the Gujarat-Madhya Pradesh border.
Train No. 69105 will run from Pratapnagar to Tanda Road, departing at 5:00 AM and reaching Tanda Road at 9:35 AM the following morning, according to the provided schedule.
On the return route, Train No. 69106 will leave Tanda Road at 5:05 PM and reach Pratapnagar at 9:25 PM.
The proposed stops include Dabhoi, Chhuchhapura, Bodeli, Pavi, Chhota Udepur, Padaliya Road, Motisadhali, Ambari Richhavi, Alirajpur, Khandala, Jobat and Dekakund.
Varanasi-Delhi Special Express to Make 50 Trips
To handle the expected festive-season rush between Delhi and eastern Uttar Pradesh, the Railways will also operate a Varanasi-Delhi-Varanasi Reserved Special Express.
Train No. 04209 will leave Varanasi at 10:15 PM and reach Delhi at 1:45 PM the following day. The service will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from October 2 to November 27.
For the return journey, Train No. 04210 will depart from Delhi at 6:50 PM and reach Varanasi at 9:50 AM the next day. This service will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from October 2 to November 28.
Overall, the Varanasi-Delhi-Varanasi service is planned to make 50 trips during the specified period.
Chandigarh-Patna Special Train Also Announced
The Railways has also planned a Chandigarh-Patna special train to cater to passenger demand during the festive period. Train numbers 04512 and 04511 will together make 18 trips.
The service will connect Chandigarh and Patna through several important stations, including Ambala Cantt, Saharanpur, Roorkee, Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Varanasi, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Buxar, Ara and Danapur.
These additional services are intended to provide passengers with more travel options during a period when demand for railway tickets generally increases.
