Honda has given the Elevate its first major mid-cycle update, bringing changes to its exterior styling, cabin, equipment and safety features. While the overall shape of the SUV remains familiar, the updated model adds several features that were not available on the earlier version.

The facelift continues with the same engine and transmission choices, meaning the main focus of the update is on design, comfort, technology and safety rather than mechanical changes.

Exterior Design: What’s New?

The overall proportions and silhouette of the Honda Elevate remain largely unchanged. However, the facelift gives the front section a more updated appearance.

The L-shaped LED headlamp signature has been carried forward from the previous model. The grille, however, has received a major update. The earlier Elevate came with two grille designs, while the new version gets a gloss-black honeycomb-pattern grille.

The basic shape of the front bumper remains similar, although the area surrounding the fog-lamp housing now features a body-coloured finish. Honda has also shifted the Honda badge from the grille to the bonnet.

Changes along the sides are limited. The SUV continues to use 17-inch alloy wheels, while the lower side cladding now gets a gloss-black finish instead of the matte-black treatment seen earlier.

At the rear, the most noticeable styling update is the introduction of a connected LED taillamp design.

New Cabin and Added Features

Inside, Honda has made several changes to give the Elevate a more premium feel. The dashboard now uses additional leatherette padding in place of the faux-wood trim used on the older model.

The facelift also gets factory-fitted ambient lighting. There are minor changes to the HVAC control housing as well.

The previous model was available with two dual-tone cabin themes — black-and-white and black-and-brown. The updated version continues with the black-and-white combination, while an all-black interior is offered with black exterior colours.

One of the biggest equipment upgrades is the addition of a 360-degree camera, which was missing from the previous Elevate. The feature is intended to make parking and manoeuvring in tight spaces easier.

The new model also gets powered and ventilated front seats, along with rear-seat ventilation. Other additions include an air purifier, ambient lighting, front parking sensors and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold.

Safety and Engine Remain Largely Unchanged

Honda has added some safety-related equipment to the updated Elevate. These include rear disc brakes, an electronic parking brake and front parking sensors.

The SUV continues to feature Honda Sensing with a Level 2 ADAS package. Its features include adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, collision mitigation braking and lane-assistance systems.

There is no major mechanical update with the facelift. The Elevate continues with the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine, which produces 121 hp of maximum power and 145 Nm of peak torque.

Transmission choices remain a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic. Honda has also not introduced a hybrid powertrain with this update.

Honda Elevate New vs Old: Price Difference

The entry-level SV MT variant continues to start at ₹11.80 lakh, meaning there is no change to the starting price.

However, prices increase across some of the higher variants. Comparable versions of the updated Elevate are priced up to ₹53,000 more than the outgoing model.

Honda has also introduced a new ZX+ variant as part of the updated lineup. The outgoing Elevate had a maximum price of ₹16.36 lakh, while the updated model now reaches ₹18.30 lakh.

Overall, the facelift brings noticeable changes to the Elevate’s exterior styling, cabin equipment, comfort features and safety technology, while retaining the same engine and transmission options.
