Hartalika Teej 2026: Why Is September 14 the Correct Date?
As per the Vedic Panchang, Tritiya Tithi of Bhadrapada Shukla Paksha begins at 7:08 AM on September 13 and ends at 7:06 AM on September 14.
Since Hindu festivals are generally determined by the Udaya Tithi, or the lunar date prevailing at sunrise, Hartalika Teej will be celebrated on September 14.
The day is marked by fasting and prayers dedicated primarily to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
Hartalika Teej Fasting Ritual
On the morning of Hartalika Teej, devotees traditionally wake up early, take a bath and wear clean clothes before beginning the day’s religious observances.
