Gold and Silver Prices in the Market

Gold and silver rates can vary between cities and sellers because retail prices depend on local market conditions, taxes and other applicable charges. Published benchmarks can also differ depending on whether they include GST or other costs.

For buyers, the quoted bullion rate should therefore not be treated as the final amount payable for jewellery. Making charges, taxes and other applicable costs can increase the final purchase price.

The latest figures show that both precious metals have moved lower compared with their levels a week earlier, with 24-carat gold down ₹3,160 per 10 grams and silver down ₹10,000 per kilogram over the same period.
