Gold Price Weekly: Gold and silver prices have remained volatile in recent days. Since bullion markets are closed over the weekend, the latest market rates were not updated on September 12. The most recent figures show that both gold and silver recorded a decline over the past week.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the futures price of 24-carat gold slipped by 0.08%, or ₹129, to settle at ₹1,52,655 per 10 grams.
Meanwhile, gold was trading at around $4,390 per ounce in the international market. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), 999-purity gold closed at ₹1,51,938 per 10 grams.

Gold Price Falls by ₹2,946 in One Week
According to IBJA data, 999-purity gold was priced at ₹1,51,938 per 10 grams at the close of September 11.
For comparison, the price on September 4 stood at ₹1,54,884 per 10 grams. This means that gold became cheaper by ₹2,946 per 10 grams over the week.
Gold prices can experience significant movement because of factors such as international market trends, currency movements, demand and investor sentiment. With the festive season approaching, market watchers will also be keeping a close eye on changes in precious-metal demand.
Silver Price Also Records a Weekly Decline
Silver also became cheaper during the same period.
IBJA data shows that 999-purity silver closed at ₹2,28,920 per kilogram on September 11. On September 4, the rate was ₹2,35,456 per kilogram.
As a result, silver declined by ₹6,536 per kilogram over the week.

Gold and Silver Prices Remain in Focus
The latest weekly figures show that both precious metals moved lower, with gold declining ₹2,946 per 10 grams and silver falling ₹6,536 per kilogram compared with their September 4 levels.
