Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar had a narrow escape during a promotional event for his latest film Bail in Chitradurga on October 5, 2026. A flower pot firecracker reportedly exploded near the actor while fans were celebrating his appearance, sending sparks in his direction.

The incident took place at a private showroom, where a large crowd had gathered to welcome the actor. Firecrackers were being burst as part of the celebrations when one suddenly went off close to Shiva Rajkumar.

The unexpected explosion briefly caused panic among those present. However, the actor was not injured. His security personnel and fans quickly moved to protect him, helping prevent the situation from escalating. Although Shiva Rajkumar appeared startled by the incident, he soon regained his composure and continued interacting with the crowd.

‘Bail’ Continues Its Theatrical Run After October 2 Release

Shiva Rajkumar was in Chitradurga as part of the promotional activities for Bail, which arrived in theatres on October 2, 2026. The action-drama is directed by Pavan Wadeyar and features Shiva Rajkumar as Vijay Kumar, a retired police commissioner who takes matters into his own hands following a personal tragedy.

The film also stars Jayaram as Robert, a retired scientist, and Sai Kumar as Ali, a retired judge. The three characters come together in the story as they pursue criminals who are out on bail.

Firecracker Incident Creates Brief Scare During Promotion

The incident briefly disrupted the celebrations surrounding the actor’s appearance, highlighting the risks associated with fireworks at crowded public events. Despite the scare, Shiva Rajkumar continued with his interaction with fans during the promotional event.

The actor’s Chitradurga visit was part of the ongoing promotional campaign for Bail, which is currently running in theatres following its October 2 release.
