Actor Dayanand Shetty, best known for playing Senior Inspector Daya in the popular television series CID, has shared an interesting insight into the lifestyle surrounding some Bollywood stars. In a recent conversation with host Siddharth Kannan, Shetty spoke about celebrities who bring their pets to film sets along with dedicated staff and elaborate arrangements.

Dayanand Shetty Talks About Pets on Film Sets

During his conversation with Siddharth Kannan on his YouTube channel in late August 2026, Shetty was asked about the large entourages often seen accompanying film stars.

Speaking about the lifestyle associated with celebrity culture, the actor said that some stars feel such behaviour is part of establishing their status. He then discussed the practice of bringing pets to shooting locations.

According to Shetty, several actors have their dogs brought to the sets during filming and take breaks to spend time with them. He explained that the pets may have their own nannies who are responsible for taking them for walks and feeding them.

Shetty also mentioned that some of these dogs are dressed up with accessories such as sunglasses and may even be given makeup before appearing on set.

When asked about his reaction to such arrangements, the 56-year-old actor responded humorously, suggesting that the dogs themselves are fortunate to receive such treatment. The interview, which was posted around August 21–22, 2026, subsequently attracted attention for its glimpse into the less-discussed aspects of celebrity lifestyles.

Dayanand Shetty Reunites With CID Co-Stars

Meanwhile, Shetty is also preparing for a reunion with several of his former CID colleagues. The actor is set to feature alongside Shivaji Satam, known for playing ACP Pradyuman, and Aditya Srivastava, who portrayed Senior Inspector Abhijeet.

The trio will appear in a new crime series titled Paapanasham: Where Crime Ends. Shetty announced the project through Instagram on September 22, 2026.

The series will also feature other familiar CID faces, including Ansha Sayed, Hrishikesh Pandey and Ajay Nagrath. However, the actors will not return as their CID characters. Instead, they will be seen in different roles and appearances.

Paapanasham Begins Shooting in Karnataka

Production on Paapanasham: Where Crime Ends has begun in Mangalore and Udupi. The series is being produced by Shetty under his production banner, The Daya Shetty Productions.

The upcoming show will be available on Dayanand Shetty’s YouTube channel, which he launched in December 2025 as a platform for his content. For CID viewers, the project marks another opportunity to see several familiar actors collaborate in a new crime-based story.
