New Delhi: Bank customers should plan their financial activities carefully next week, as banks across different parts of India will observe six days of holidays between November 9 and November 15, 2026. According to the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) official holiday calendar, these closures will affect public and private sector banks, including State Bank of India (SBI), HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Punjab National Bank and Bank of Baroda.

The holidays are linked to regional festivals, religious occasions and regular weekend closures. However, bank holidays will not be observed uniformly across the country, as some dates apply only to specific states and cities.

Under RBI guidelines, banks remain closed on Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. Although physical branches will not operate on holidays, customers can continue using most digital banking facilities, including mobile banking and internet banking.
