Samsung continues to offer premium smartphones in 2026, with different models designed for different user preferences. Whether you are looking for advanced camera features, a large foldable display or a stylish compact phone, the company’s flagship range has options to consider.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra focuses on high-end performance and photography, while the Galaxy Z Fold8 offers a larger screen in a foldable design. The Galaxy Z Flip8, meanwhile, is aimed at users who prefer a compact smartphone with a premium appearance.
Prices can vary between retailers, and festive discounts or bank offers may change frequently. Here is a closer look at the three premium Samsung smartphones, their key features and reported prices in India.
1. Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: Premium Performance and Camera Features
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is designed for users who want a complete flagship smartphone experience. It combines a large display, powerful processing hardware and an advanced camera system.
The phone features a 6.9-inch QHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, optimised for Galaxy devices.
Photography is another major highlight. The rear camera setup includes a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera and two telephoto lenses offering 3x and 5x zoom capabilities.
Samsung has also included an integrated S Pen, making the device useful for note-taking and other productivity tasks. Its Privacy Display feature is designed to limit screen visibility from side angles, helping protect information from nearby viewers.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra launched in India at ₹1,39,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. However, prices on various retail platforms are now reported to be around ₹1,24,999 to ₹1,29,999, depending on the seller and available offers.
2. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8: A Large Foldable Display for Work and Entertainment
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 is designed for people who want the viewing experience of a larger screen without carrying a separate tablet. Its foldable design allows users to switch between a regular smartphone and a larger display.
The device features a 7.6-inch inner 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also includes a 50MP primary camera and uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, the same processor listed for the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Samsung claims that the Z Fold8 weighs just 201 grams and describes it as the lightest foldable smartphone in its category.
For battery and charging, the phone is listed with a 4,800mAh battery and 45W charging support.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 was initially launched at ₹1,79,999, while its official pricing later moved to approximately ₹1,84,999. Its large display and foldable design make it particularly relevant for users who regularly read, work or watch videos on their smartphones.
3. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8: Compact Design with a Premium Finish
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 is aimed at buyers who prefer a smaller, easy-to-carry smartphone with a foldable design. Unlike the Fold series, which opens into a larger screen, the Flip8 folds into a compact form that takes up less space.
It was launched at ₹1,24,999. During festive sales, certain listings may offer the device for approximately ₹1,14,999 through bank discounts and promotional deals.
Within Samsung’s premium foldable range, the Flip8 offers a different experience from the larger Z Fold8 and the traditional flagship S26 Ultra. Its main appeal is its compact folding design and premium styling.
However, detailed specifications should be checked against Samsung’s official product information before purchasing, as all the smaller hardware details have not been independently verified in this comparison.
