The iQOO Neo 12 is expected to launch in October, and the company has already confirmed several major specifications ahead of its official announcement. The upcoming smartphone is set to feature a 2K display with a 185Hz refresh rate, a powerful Snapdragon processor and upgraded gaming capabilities.

Designed with gaming performance in mind, the new iQOO Neo series phone will feature a flat screen with slim bezels. Its display will be manufactured by Chinese company Visionox, while improvements in battery capacity and overall performance are also expected. However, the company has not yet revealed the phone’s official price or confirmed launch date.

iQOO Neo 12 Display and Design Details

iQOO recently shared a teaser on Weibo, offering a first look at the front design of the Neo 12. The smartphone will feature a flat display, narrow bezels and a centrally positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.

The company has confirmed that the handset will come with a 2K-resolution display supporting a 185Hz refresh rate. This high refresh rate could make the device particularly appealing to users who prioritise smooth visuals and responsive gaming.

The display panel will be supplied by Visionox. According to the information shared by iQOO, the screen incorporates PTSF technology and advanced luminescent materials. These technologies are claimed to help lower power consumption while delivering improved colour reproduction.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Gaming Features

The iQOO Neo 12 is confirmed to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. It will also include iQOO’s proprietary Q3 gaming chip, which is intended to support its gaming-focused performance.

Another notable addition is the integrated cooling fan, included as part of the company’s Ice Dome Active Cooling System. This cooling solution is expected to help manage heat during demanding tasks, particularly gaming.

Media reports suggest that the smartphone could be equipped with up to 16GB of RAM and run Android 17. However, these details have not yet been fully confirmed by iQOO.

9,000mAh Battery and 100W Fast Charging

Battery capacity could be one of the major upgrades in the upcoming device. According to media reports, the iQOO Neo 12 may pack a large 9,000mAh battery and support 100W wired fast charging.

If these reported specifications prove accurate, the combination of a large battery and fast charging could be a key feature of the new smartphone. The company has yet to confirm the battery capacity officially.

The iQOO Neo 12’s price and exact launch date also remain unannounced. More details are expected as the company moves closer to its planned October launch.

iQOO Neo 12 vs iQOO Neo 11: What to Expect

The iQOO Neo 12 is expected to succeed the iQOO Neo 11, which launched in October last year. The previous model featured a 6.82-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz.

The iQOO Neo 11 was powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and included a 50-megapixel primary camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor. It also offered a 7,500mAh battery with support for 100W wired fast charging.

Compared with its predecessor, the Neo 12 is expected to bring a higher display refresh rate, a newer processor and a larger battery, although some of its reported specifications are still awaiting official confirmation.
