Train Cancelled : 18 Trains Cancelled and 10 Diverted on Dhanbad-Howrah Route

Rail passengers travelling on the Dhanbad-Howrah route are set to face disruptions from September 21. Eastern Railway has announced the cancellation of 18 trains and changes in the routes of 10 services on different dates.

The changes are linked to pre-interlocking work at Mugma station from September 21 to 23, followed by interlocking work between September 24 and 27. The disruption is expected to affect passengers travelling between Dhanbad, Asansol and other important destinations in Jharkhand and Bihar.

Several major services, including Jammu Tawi, Sealdah-Ajmer, Duronto and Shaktipunj Express, will also be diverted and will not operate through Dhanbad on the specified dates.

These 18 Trains Will Remain Cancelled

The following train services will be cancelled on the mentioned dates:

  • 12371 Howrah-Bikaner Express: September 21
  • 12372 Bikaner-Howrah Express: September 24
  • 12329 Sealdah-Anand Vihar Sampark Kranti Express: September 22
  • 12330 Anand Vihar-Sealdah Sampark Kranti Express: September 23
  • 63555 Asansol-Barkakana MEMU: September 24, 25, 26 and 27
  • 63556 Barkakana-Asansol MEMU: September 24, 25, 26 and 27
  • 18621 Patna-Hatia Patliputra Express: September 24, 25, 26 and 27
  • 18622 Hatia-Patna Patliputra Express: September 23, 24, 25 and 26
  • 13167 Kolkata-Agra Cantt Express: September 24
  • 13168 Agra Cantt-Kolkata Express: September 26
  • 18603 Ranchi-Godda Express: September 24 and 26
  • 18604 Godda-Ranchi Express: September 25 and 27
  • 18629 Ranchi-Gorakhpur Express: September 25
  • 18630 Gorakhpur-Ranchi Express: September 26
  • 18105 Rourkela-Jaynagar Express: September 24 and 26
  • 18106 Jaynagar-Rourkela Express: September 25 and 27
  • 18119 Tata-Jaynagar Express: September 25
  • 18120 Jaynagar-Tata Express: September 26

Bardhaman-Hatia MEMU to Run Only Up to Asansol

Passengers using the Bardhaman-Hatia MEMU will also be affected during the work.

From September 24 to 27, the Bardhaman-Hatia MEMU will operate only between Bardhaman and Asansol. On the return journey, the Hatia-Bardhaman MEMU will also run between Asansol and Bardhaman.

As a result, the service will not operate between Asansol and Dhanbad during this period.

These Trains Will Run on Diverted Routes

Several important trains will operate through alternative routes between September 22 and 27.

The 13331 Dhanbad-Patna Intercity will operate from Dhanbad via Gomoh, Koderma and Gaya from September 24 to 27. The 13332 Patna-Dhanbad Intercity will follow the reverse route through Gaya, Koderma and Gomoh during the same period.

The 13151 Kolkata-Jammu Tawi Express will operate via Asansol, Jhajha and Patna from September 24 to 27. In the opposite direction, the 13152 Jammu Tawi-Kolkata Express will run via Patna, Jhajha, Jasidih and Asansol from September 22 to 25.

The 12987 Sealdah-Ajmer Express will operate via Asansol, Jhajha and Patna from September 23 to 26, while the 12988 Ajmer-Sealdah Express will follow the route through Patna, Jhajha and Asansol during the same period.

The 12259 Sealdah-Bikaner Duronto Express will be diverted via Asansol, Jhajha and Patna on September 24 and 27. The 12260 Bikaner-Sealdah Duronto Express will operate via Patna, Jhajha and Asansol on September 24 and 25.

The 11447 Jabalpur-Howrah Shaktipunj Express will run via Patratu, Barkakana, Koderma, Maheshmunda, Madhupur and Asansol from September 23 to 26. The 11448 Howrah-Jabalpur Shaktipunj Express will take the reverse route via Asansol, Madhupur, Maheshmunda, Koderma, Barkakana and Patratu from September 24 to 27.

Passengers travelling on these routes are advised to check their train’s schedule and route before beginning their journey during the construction period.
