Redmi has expanded its smartphone lineup in India with the launch of two new models in the Note 17 Pro series. The company has introduced the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, bringing upgraded hardware and several premium features.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is the more feature-packed model of the two and comes with a large 10,000mAh battery, a Snapdragon 6 series processor and a dual-camera system at the back. Here is a look at the prices, sale dates and key specifications of both smartphones.
Redmi Note 17 Pro and Note 17 Pro Max Price in India
The Redmi Note 17 Pro starts at ₹36,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage version. The 8GB RAM with 256GB storage model is priced at ₹39,999.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, meanwhile, is priced at ₹49,999 for its 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The higher-end version with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage costs ₹55,999.
Customers can also receive an instant discount of up to ₹5,000 when using eligible SBI, Axis Bank or IDFC First Bank cards. Alternatively, cashback of up to ₹5,000 is available through HDB Financial Services.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro will go on sale in India from September 17, while the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max will be available from September 23. Both smartphones will be sold through Amazon.
The Pro Max comes in Matcha Green, Secret Sunrise and Stealth Black colour options. The Redmi Note 17 Pro is offered in Cloud Blue, Purple Vibe and Stealth Black.
Redmi Note 17 Pro Max Display and Performance
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is a dual-SIM smartphone running HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. It features a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,280 x 2,772 pixels and supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
Powering the smartphone is Qualcomm’s 4nm octa-core Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset. The device also carries IP66, IP68 and IP69K ratings for protection against dust and water.
Camera and Battery Features
For photography, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max has a dual-camera setup on the rear. It includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.5 aperture and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. On the front, the phone gets a 32-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
One of the biggest highlights is its 10,000mAh battery. The battery supports 100W wired fast charging as well as 27W wired reverse fast charging.
Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 6.0 and a USB Type-C port. The handset is equipped with several sensors, including a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, e-compass and IR blaster. An in-display fingerprint sensor is also provided for security.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max measures 163.44 x 78.27 x 8.57mm and weighs around 229 grams.
