The Vermilion Mask Anime: The upcoming The Vermilion Mask anime has released its second main trailer and a brand-new key visual, while also announcing six additional members of its voice cast. The series has confirmed an October 10, 2026 premiere date and will be available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
The anime was previously announced as a two-cour series, with the first part scheduled to begin airing in October.
The Vermilion Mask Reveals New Trailer and Key Visual
The latest trailer gives fans another look at the world, characters and dramatic story of The Vermilion Mask. The new promotional material also highlights the series’ upcoming theme songs.
MAN WITH A MISSION will perform the opening theme, “Firestarter,” while yutori will handle the ending song, “Koe.” Both tracks are featured in the newly released trailer.
Six New Voice Cast Members Announced
Alongside the new trailer, six additional voice actors have been confirmed for the anime:
- Kenji Nojima as Hien
- Aoi Koga as Lasgarl
- Yuki Shin as Clown
- Akihisa Wakayama as Rinne
- Aya Endo as The Mask of Necromancy
- Yui Horie as Master
They will join the previously announced main cast, led by Taihi Kimura, who voices Peru d’Arrest. Kimura was also recently announced as the voice of Chihiro Rokuhira in the upcoming KAGURABACHI anime adaptation.
Who Is Hien in The Vermilion Mask?
Hien is part of Lisblanc’s Governance Guard and initially views Gouon as a father-like figure. However, a major incident changes his perspective and eventually causes him to develop intense hatred toward Peru.
Voice actor Kenji Nojima spoke about his interest in the series’ central concept of masks. He noted that masks can hide a person’s true identity while also becoming part of who they are, raising questions about how people present themselves to others.
Nojima said the role gave him plenty to think about and expressed his hope that viewers would enjoy the series.
Aoi Koga Voices Lasgarl
Lasgarl is portrayed as a woman who loves books and possesses the ability to manipulate sound through her mask. Her personality reportedly changes dramatically when she enters combat.
Aoi Koga said she was surprised and excited when she learned she had been selected for the role. She described playing an enemy character as a new challenge and said she wants Lasgarl to stand firmly against the protagonists.

The anime adaptation is being directed by Tetsuaki Watanabe, with One Double-O responsible for animation production.
