The Dangers in My Heart Ending: Norio Sakurai’s popular romantic comedy manga The Dangers in My Heart (BokuYaba) is officially approaching its conclusion. The series will publish its final chapter on September 15, marking the end of roughly eight and a half years of serialization.
The announcement comes after the manga revealed last month that its story would wrap up within three more chapters. Fans will now soon see the final chapter of Kyotaro Ichikawa and Anna Yamada’s journey.
The Dangers in My Heart Final Chapter Release Date
Akita Shoten has confirmed that the concluding chapter will be published on Champion Cross at 10:00 AM JST on September 15.
The publisher has encouraged fans to celebrate the graduation of Kyotaro Ichikawa and Anna Yamada as the manga reaches its final chapter.
The series will officially conclude with Volume 14, which will serve as the manga’s final collected volume.
The Dangers in My Heart Manga Completes Its Long Run
Norio Sakurai began The Dangers in My Heart manga more than eight years ago, and the series has developed a strong following during its serialization.
The story centres on Kyotaro Ichikawa, a socially withdrawn boy who spends much of his time imagining dark and unusual scenarios. His perspective begins to change after he becomes acquainted with Anna Yamada, a popular and charming classmate.
What starts as an unusual relationship gradually develops into an emotional coming-of-age story filled with romance, comedy and heartfelt moments.
The Dangers in My Heart Season 3 Coming in 2027
The manga’s ending does not mean the anime franchise is finished.
The first season of The Dangers in My Heart aired in Spring 2023 and consisted of 12 episodes. The second season followed in Winter 2024, running for 13 episodes.
Season 2 received particularly strong attention from fans and performed exceptionally well in weekly rankings. It also went on to win the 2024 Anime of the Year title along with several other awards.
The anime adaptation is set to continue with Season 3, scheduled to premiere in 2027.

The novel contains four short stories and also explores a future version of Kyotaro and Anna, showing what their lives look like 10 years later.
