Former Bigg Boss contestant Sofia Hayat has clarified her comments about Salman Khan after initially criticising the actor for what she described as hypocrisy. Her remarks came after Salman addressed online trolling over his age, appearance and weight during the latest Bigg Boss 20 Weekend Ka Vaar episode.
Sofia, who appeared on Bigg Boss 7 in 2013, recalled her own experience on the reality show and alleged that Salman had commented on her body and face during her time in the house.
Sofia Hayat’s Initial Criticism of Salman Khan
After Salman removed his shirt on the Bigg Boss 20 stage while responding to people trolling him over his appearance, Sofia shared a clip from the episode on X.
In her post, she accused the actor of being hypocritical and claimed that he had criticised her appearance during her Bigg Boss stint while complimenting Gauahar Khan’s body.
She wrote, “SALMAN is an hypocritical idiot. When I was in Bigg Boss he criticised my body and face..and told Gauahar (Khan) her body was good. Argh.”
Sofia Says Salman Should Not Be Judged for His Looks
Sofia later clarified that her criticism was not directed at Salman’s age or physical appearance. She said people should not judge the actor based on how he looks and described age as a blessing.
“We shouldn’t criticise Salman for his looks. He looks great, I have nothing against the way he looks, anyone who does is operating from low level of concsiousness. Age is a blessing. 20 year olds don’t run the world,” she wrote in a post on Monday.
Her clarification followed Salman’s response to social media users who had been making comments about his weight during the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode.
What Salman Khan Said to His Trolls
During the episode, Salman took direct aim at those trolling him over his appearance. He removed his hat and shirt on stage before challenging social media users to continue their comments openly.
“Bhai mota hogaya hai, bhai ko troll karo… Karlo troll, yeh lo. Karlo troll. Aao, troll karna hai na? Troll karna pasand hai? Yeh dekho, close-up karlo,” Salman said.
The actor’s comments came amid discussions around online trolling and criticism of celebrities based on their appearance.
