Rise and Fall Season 2 witnessed a major controversy after a physical altercation between contestants Shehzad Poonawalla and Siwet Tomar resulted in Tomar’s eviction from the reality show. In a surprising development, Poonawalla reportedly appealed to the makers to reconsider the decision and allow Tomar to remain on the show.
Shehzad Poonawalla Appeals for Siwet Tomar’s Return
The incident took place during the third episode of Rise and Fall 2, which aired on September 28, 2026. Tensions reportedly escalated during an “Ultimate Ruler” task after Poonawalla named Tomar as the contestant he considered the “least fit to be a ruler.”
The disagreement soon turned into a physical confrontation. Tomar reportedly grabbed Poonawalla by the neck and pushed him, causing Poonawalla’s kurta to tear. As the show follows a strict no-violence policy, Tomar was subsequently evicted.
Despite the incident, Poonawalla said that he requested the makers to forgive Tomar while he was receiving treatment after the confrontation.
He recalled telling the makers, “Don’t send him out, keep him. Forgive him.” Poonawalla explained that Tomar was 28 years old and suggested that the reality show was an important source of livelihood for him, while implying that he personally had less dependence on the platform.
Siwet Tomar Shares His Side of the Incident
After his eviction, Tomar addressed the controversy through a video statement and denied intentionally hitting Poonawalla. According to Tomar, he only held Poonawalla by the collar, which caused him to lose his balance and resulted in the torn kurta.
Tomar also alleged that comments relating to his religion and caste had repeatedly provoked him during the argument, eventually causing him to lose his temper.
While acknowledging that resorting to physical violence was wrong, Tomar questioned why he was the only contestant to face disciplinary action. He argued that Poonawalla should also have faced consequences over the alleged religious and caste-related remarks, which he said were contrary to the show’s rules.
‘Rise and Fall Season 2’ Continues to Make Headlines
