Shah Rukh Khan continues to hold the title of India’s richest actor despite a significant decline in his estimated wealth over the past year. According to the M3M Hurun India Rich List 2026, the Bollywood superstar’s net worth has fallen by nearly ₹2,490 crore to ₹10,000 crore.
Khan’s estimated wealth includes earnings from his film career, brand endorsements and business ventures such as Red Chillies Entertainment and Knight Riders Sports.
Shah Rukh Khan Retains Top Spot Despite Wealth Drop
The M3M Hurun India Rich List 2025 had estimated Shah Rukh Khan’s net worth at ₹12,490 crore. The latest figure represents a substantial decline compared with last year.
Despite the drop, Khan remains at the top of the list of India’s richest actors. He had officially entered the billionaire club a year ago and continues to occupy the highest position among Indian actors in the latest ranking.
Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan Among the Top Three
Amitabh Bachchan has recorded a notable increase in his estimated wealth. His net worth rose from ₹1,630 crore in 2025 to ₹4,000 crore in 2026, placing him second among India’s richest actors.
Salman Khan occupies the third position with an estimated net worth of ₹3,000 crore.
Hrithik Roshan follows in fourth place with a reported wealth of ₹2,500 crore. He was ranked as the third-richest actor in India in last year’s list.
M3M Hurun India Rich List 2026 Highlights
The latest M3M Hurun India Rich List was released on September 23. Anas Rahman Junaid, Founder and Chief Researcher at Hurun India, said the latest edition reflects a year in which wealth creation outpaced the stock market.
India added 27 dollar billionaires over the past year, taking the country’s total to 391, compared with 237 five years ago. The broader list of wealthy individuals also expanded by 128 people from the previous year and by 803 over the past five years.
Mumbai has the highest number of people featured on the rich list, with 465 entries. New Delhi follows with 236, while Bengaluru has 129.
Gautam Adani Overtakes Mukesh Ambani
The latest list also saw a change at the top of India’s overall wealth rankings. Gautam Adani and his family emerged as the richest in India and Asia, with total wealth estimated at ₹9.23 lakh crore, or $96 billion.
Adani and his family moved ahead of Mukesh Ambani and his family to claim the top position on the M3M Hurun India Rich List 2026. According to the report, Adani’s wealth increased by around 13% to ₹9.23 lakh crore, while Ambani’s wealth declined by 10% to ₹8.63 lakh crore.
The difference between their reported wealth stands at ₹59,400 crore.
