Security has been tightened outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai’s Bandra area following a firing incident involving actor Tiger Shroff in Juhu on Sunday evening, October 18, 2026. Although Shroff escaped without serious injuries, the incident has raised fresh concerns about the safety of Bollywood celebrities, particularly after a group claiming links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang allegedly took responsibility for the attack and issued threats against people associated with Khan.
Salman Khan’s Residence Under Increased Security
Following the shooting involving Tiger Shroff, Mumbai Police increased security outside Salman Khan’s residence at Galaxy Apartments. Police personnel wearing bulletproof jackets were deployed outside the building, while additional police vehicles were stationed in the surrounding area.
The move followed a message allegedly issued by members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claiming responsibility for the Juhu firing and warning members of the film industry who continue to work with Salman Khan.
The latest security measures come after earlier upgrades at Khan’s residence, including the installation of bulletproof glass on his balcony and a high-tech CCTV surveillance system. These precautions were introduced following a firing incident outside his home in April 2024.
Salman Khan Firing Case: Background and Latest Developments
The latest incident follows an earlier shooting outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments residence on April 14, 2024. On that occasion, two men riding a motorcycle allegedly fired shots outside the actor’s home in Bandra.
Mumbai Police alleged that the attack was carried out at the behest of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother, Anmol Bishnoi, were named as wanted accused in connection with the case.
In November 2025, a special court under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) framed charges against five accused in the 2024 firing case. They were identified as Vickykumar Gupta, Sagarkumar Pal, Sonukumar Bishnoi, Mohammed Rafiq Sardar Chaudhari and Harpal Singh. The accused face trial for offences including attempt to murder.
Anmol Bishnoi was also reportedly brought to India from the United States in November 2025 in connection with this and other cases.
With security now increased outside Salman Khan’s residence following the firing involving Tiger Shroff, Mumbai Police are investigating the latest incident and the threats that followed. The developments have renewed concerns over the security of high-profile figures in the Hindi film industry.
