PM Kisan Update: Farmers waiting for the next PM-KISAN instalment may first need to check whether their previous payment has been successfully processed. The 23rd instalment of PM-KISAN was released on June 20, 2026, and the scheme currently provides eligible farmer families with ₹6,000 a year in three equal instalments of ₹2,000 each.

If the 23rd instalment has not reached your bank account, you can check the payment status through the official PM-KISAN portal and use the available helpdesk facility. Farmers can also verify their e-KYC status and other registration details before raising a complaint.

What to Do If the PM Kisan Instalment Has Not Arrived

Farmers who have not received an eligible instalment should first use the “Know Your Status” facility on the official PM-KISAN website. The status page can show details such as payment status, bank name, UTR number, payment mode and the date on which the account was credited.

The PM-KISAN portal also provides a Helpdesk – Query Form for scheme-related complaints and assistance. Farmers can use this facility to report problems related to their registration, payment or other scheme details. The official website also provides contact details for state nodal officers.

If the issue is related to eligibility or verification, farmers should also check their status carefully. The government has stated that certain cases can have benefits temporarily withheld for physical verification, including some cases involving land acquired after February 1, 2019, or multiple members of the same family receiving benefits.

Can Farmers Receive More Than ₹6,000 Under PM Kisan?

Under the current PM-KISAN structure, eligible landholding farmer families receive ₹6,000 per year through three equal instalments of ₹2,000. The official PM-KISAN portal continues to list this as the scheme’s annual income support.

There is no official announcement on the PM-KISAN portal indicating that the regular annual assistance has been increased above ₹6,000. Therefore, farmers should rely on official government announcements rather than claims circulating on social media about a higher regular instalment.

What If PM Kisan e-KYC Is Not Being Completed?

e-KYC is mandatory for registered PM-KISAN farmers. The government currently provides multiple ways to complete the verification process, including biometric authentication through authorised CSC facilities and face-authentication through the PM-KISAN mobile application.

Farmers who are unable to complete e-KYC online can visit a nearby Common Service Centre (CSC) for biometric authentication. The official PM-KISAN e-KYC guidance also provides a face-authentication option through the mobile app.

After completing e-KYC, farmers can check their updated status through the PM-KISAN portal. The official guidance states that the e-KYC status may take up to 24 hours to reflect in the beneficiary status.

How to Check PM Kisan Registration and Beneficiary Status

Farmers can check their registration and payment information online through the official PM-KISAN website.

Visit the PM-KISAN portal and use the “Know Your Status” option. After entering the required registration details and OTP, the system can display payment-related information, including the payment status, bank details, UTR number and credit date.

The Beneficiary List can also be accessed online by selecting the relevant state, district, sub-district, block and village. The official portal currently provides this facility for checking beneficiary records.

How to Correct Name or Bank Details in PM Kisan

If the farmer’s name does not match the Aadhaar record, the relevant correction facility available on the PM-KISAN portal can be used to update the information.

For payment-related issues, farmers should also verify their bank and Aadhaar details because PM-KISAN benefits are transferred directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts through DBT. The official portal provides facilities for updating missing information and mobile numbers, checking status and accessing other beneficiary services.

Farmers should check their Know Your Status page before assuming that an instalment has been rejected. In some cases, the portal may show a pending verification, payment or eligibility issue that needs to be resolved before the benefit can be released.
