Farmers waiting for the 24th instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana are keeping a close watch on the next payment. The release date has not been officially confirmed yet, although the instalment is expected to be released before November 30.

Under PM-KISAN, eligible landholding farmer families receive ₹6,000 every year in three equal instalments of ₹2,000 through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The government has transferred more than ₹4.47 lakh crore through 23 instalments so far.

The PM-KISAN portal currently provides several facilities that can help beneficiaries correct or update their details and address payment-related issues.

1. Update Missing Information Online

Farmers whose details are incomplete can use the “Update Missing Information” facility available on the PM-KISAN portal.

After selecting the option, beneficiaries can search using their Aadhaar number or registration number, complete the captcha and provide the required missing information. The official portal currently lists this facility for beneficiaries.

2. Change Your Registered Mobile Number

The portal also provides an online option to update the mobile number linked with a PM-KISAN registration.

Farmers can access the “Update Mobile Number” section and search using their registration number or Aadhaar number. After completing the required verification, the mobile number can be updated through the available process.

3. Refund Payments Received by Ineligible Farmers

Farmers who have received PM-KISAN payments despite being ineligible can use the “Online Refund” facility on the official portal.

The refund process requires details such as the registration or Aadhaar number, followed by verification. The government portal also provides a separate recovery facility for beneficiaries who are found ineligible.

4. Find State and District Nodal Officers

Farmers facing problems with their PM-KISAN benefits can also find official contacts through the “Search your Point of Contact (POC)” facility.

The portal provides state and district nodal contact details, allowing beneficiaries to identify the relevant officials for assistance. Farmers can select their state and district to find the available contact information.

Land Records and PM-KISAN Eligibility

Land records are an important part of PM-KISAN eligibility. The official portal currently notes that cases involving farmers who acquired land ownership after February 1, 2019, may fall under the scheme’s exclusion criteria and can be subject to physical verification. Benefits in such cases may be temporarily withheld until verification is completed.

Farmers should also note that eKYC is mandatory for registered PM-KISAN beneficiaries. The official portal provides facilities to check beneficiary and payment status, including payment details and eKYC information.
