Farmers waiting for the 24th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan) are closely watching for an official update on the next payment. Several media reports have indicated that the 24th installment could be released in October 2026.
However, the government has not yet officially announced the release date. Eligible beneficiaries will receive ₹2,000 directly in their bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system once the installment is released.
PM Kisan 24th Installment Date and Payment
Under the PM Kisan scheme, eligible farmers receive ₹2,000 every four months. This provides a total financial benefit of ₹6,000 in a year.
The installments are generally distributed during three periods: April to July, August to November, and December to March. The 23rd installment was released in June, and the 24th payment is being anticipated around October.
Farmers should wait for the official announcement before treating the expected October release as confirmed.
Complete e-KYC to Receive the Installment
Completing e-KYC remains an important requirement for eligible beneficiaries. Farmers can complete the process through Aadhaar-based OTP authentication on the PM Kisan website.
They can also visit the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) or service centre for biometric e-KYC. Another option is facial authentication through the PM Kisan mobile application and the Aadhaar Face RD app, which can be used from home.
Farmers are advised to ensure that their e-KYC and bank account information are correctly updated before the installment is released.
How to Check PM Kisan Beneficiary and Payment Status
Farmers can check whether their names appear on the beneficiary list through the official PM Kisan website. After selecting the “Beneficiary List” option, they need to enter details such as their state, district, block and village.
The “Know Your Status” facility can also be used to check beneficiary and payment-related information.
Those who are eligible but have not yet registered can apply through the “New Farmer Registration” section of the PM Kisan website. Applicants need to provide their Aadhaar number, mobile number and other required details.
However, farmers who acquired land ownership after February 1, 2019, as well as cases involving multiple eligible family members, are not eligible under the scheme. Farmers waiting for the 24th installment should therefore verify their eligibility, complete e-KYC and check their bank account details.
