Oppo is reportedly preparing to expand its Find X10 smartphone lineup with a new flagship model, expected to be called the Oppo Find X10 Ultra. The upcoming device is tipped to arrive next year and could bring significant camera improvements over the existing Find X10 Pro Max and its predecessor, the Find X9 Ultra.
According to recent leaks, the smartphone may feature a high-end MediaTek Dimensity processor instead of a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. If accurate, this would mark a notable change in Oppo’s processor strategy for its Ultra-series flagship smartphones.
Oppo Find X10 Ultra Processor Details (Expected)
According to a post shared on Weibo by tipster Smart Pikachu, the Oppo Find X10 Ultra could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset. The information suggests that Oppo may continue using MediaTek’s flagship processors for its upcoming premium devices.
For comparison, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra, launched earlier this year, comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The company was previously expected to equip its successor with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset.
The recently launched Oppo Find X10 series also reflects the company’s shift towards MediaTek processors. The standard Oppo Find X10 is powered by the Dimensity 9600M chipset, while the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max uses the Dimensity 9600 Pro. In contrast, the previous-generation Oppo Find X9 and Find X9 Pro both feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor.
The Dimensity 9600 Pro is reportedly manufactured using a 2nm process. Its octa-core architecture comprises three efficiency cores clocked at 3.10GHz, three performance cores running at 4.35GHz and two prime cores with a maximum clock speed of 4.55GHz.
Oppo Find X10 Ultra Camera Specifications (Expected)
Camera upgrades are expected to be a major highlight of the Oppo Find X10 Ultra. According to an earlier report, the smartphone is currently being tested with a triple rear camera system featuring multiple high-resolution sensors.
The device is tipped to include a 200-megapixel primary rear camera equipped with Samsung’s HPA or HPU sensor. It could also incorporate LOFIC (Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor) technology. The primary camera is reportedly being tested with a large 1/1.12-inch sensor.
The camera setup may additionally include a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor and a 50-megapixel periscope camera. The latter is said to support up to 10x optical zoom.
Furthermore, the Oppo Find X10 Ultra could feature a 200-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera equipped with Samsung’s HP5 sensor.
Oppo Find X10 Ultra Launch Timeline
The Oppo Find X10 Ultra is expected to make its debut next year, although the company has not officially confirmed its launch date or specifications.
If the leaked details prove accurate, the upcoming flagship could bring a new MediaTek processor alongside substantial improvements to its rear camera system. More information about the smartphone is expected to emerge as its anticipated launch approaches.
