Motorola has introduced its latest flagship smartphone, the Motorola Signature 27, at the Snapdragon Summit 2026. The new handset becomes the second model in the company’s Signature lineup and brings Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor along with a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.
The phone was unveiled on Tuesday and is positioned as a premium flagship with a strong focus on performance, photography and artificial intelligence features.
Motorola Signature 27 Availability and Colours
Motorola has not yet announced the price or exact sales date of the Signature 27. However, the company has confirmed that the smartphone is planned for global markets later in 2026.
The handset will be offered in two finishes: Pantone Coal Smoke and Pantone Capulet Green. Motorola has also used distinctive textured finishes for the two variants, with the Coal Smoke version featuring a woven-style surface.
Motorola Signature 27 Processor and Camera
The Signature 27 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 mobile platform, unveiled during Snapdragon Summit 2026. Motorola says the new chipset is designed to improve on-device AI performance, camera capabilities, gaming responsiveness and download speeds.
For thermal management, Motorola has introduced its ArcticMesh cooling system. The setup combines a redesigned 3D vapour chamber with diamond-infused thermal material, liquid metal and copper mesh. According to Motorola, the new vapour chamber is 40 percent larger than the previous generation.
Photography is another major highlight of the Signature 27. The smartphone features a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 910 main camera alongside a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. Motorola is also adding its AI-powered Video Enhancement Engine, which analyses scenes before and during recording and adjusts colour tones in real time.
AI Features, Software and Other Details
The Motorola Signature 27 will include Google’s Gemini AI features, including Gemini Omni. The company says users will also be able to use Google’s Lyria to create music and soundtracks.
Motorola has promised seven operating system upgrades for the Signature 27, with the phone expected to arrive with Android 17. The company also says the device will receive up to seven years of security updates from its global launch date, subject to market and model variations.
The Signature 27 is also the first Motorola smartphone to carry Audio by B&O branding as part of the company’s collaboration with Bang & Olufsen. The branding is placed on the rear of the handset.
Motorola has not yet revealed several key specifications, including the display details, battery capacity, charging speed, RAM and storage. The company has also yet to announce the smartphone’s price and exact retail launch date.
