Kareena Kapoor Khan is gearing up to make a much-awaited return to the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) stage. The Bollywood star will headline the entertainment lineup with a special performance at the 27th IIFA Weekend & Awards, scheduled to take place on January 22 and 23, 2027, at Etihad Arena on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.
The announcement has added to the excitement around the two-day celebration, which will bring together some of the biggest names from Indian cinema. Kareena will be joined on stage by Salman Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor.
Kareena Kapoor Khan to Perform at IIFA 2027
Kareena Kapoor Khan, who turned 46 on September 21, 2026, is among the leading performers confirmed for IIFA 2027. Her appearance will be part of the star-studded celebrations planned for the prestigious awards weekend.
The main IIFA Awards ceremony will be hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar and actor Varun Dhawan. Meanwhile, Pankaj Tripathi and Ali Fazal will host the IIFA Digital Awards.
The 2027 edition will mark the fourth time that IIFA has been held in Abu Dhabi. The event continues its partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and Miral.
Adding another first to this year’s celebration, the IIFA Awards 2027 will be streamed live worldwide on YouTube, giving audiences around the world an opportunity to watch the event.

Speaking about her return to the IIFA stage, Kareena Kapoor Khan said the awards have always been a special celebration of Indian cinema and have given her some memorable experiences.
She recalled her previous association with IIFA and said returning to the stage feels particularly meaningful after celebrating cinema and her family’s legacy at the event.
Kareena also highlighted the international appeal of IIFA, describing the experience of performing for audiences who travel from different parts of the world to celebrate Indian cinema. She added that Abu Dhabi makes the occasion even more special because of its ability to bring different cultures together, while making Indian cinema feel at home.

Kareena was most recently seen in the investigative crime thriller Daayra, which arrived in theatres on September 18, 2026. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film also features Prithviraj Sukumaran and was produced by Junglee Pictures and Pen Studios.
Her recent filmography also includes Singham Again, released on November 1, 2024, The Buckingham Murders, which arrived on September 13, 2024, and Crew, released on March 29, 2024.
