Google has unveiled new features for its Gemini AI assistant designed to help small businesses handle tasks such as brand development, financial analysis and customer engagement. The update includes a dedicated business landing page that brings essential tools and information together, helping entrepreneurs manage routine work more efficiently.

The announcement expands Gemini’s role beyond individual AI tasks, positioning the platform as a broader support tool for business owners. Google said the new features and integrations would begin rolling out globally to Gemini app users in the coming days.

New Gemini Business Hub Connects Essential Tools

The new business landing page will provide a central place for entrepreneurs to access tools related to their daily operations. According to Google, users will be able to connect Gemini with services including Google Business Profile, Google Ads and Google Workspace.

The platform will also support connections with third-party applications such as Adobe, Canva, Dropbox, Shopify, Wix, Zoho and Xero, giving business owners access to a wider range of services within their workflows.

These integrations are intended to make it easier for entrepreneurs to manage business activities without repeatedly switching between different applications.

AI Tools for Branding and Marketing

Gemini’s updated features will allow business owners to upload their websites, brand kits, fonts and colour palettes. This information can help the assistant maintain a consistent visual identity when generating marketing content.

When combined with Google’s Nano Banana 2.1 image-generation model, Gemini can create visuals for product launches and promotional campaigns that follow a business’s specified brand style.

The aim is to help small businesses produce marketing materials more consistently, without having to provide the same design instructions every time they create new content.

Gemini to Make Financial Analysis Easier

Google is also introducing tools to help entrepreneurs understand their business finances. Gemini will be able to turn information from spreadsheets, receipts and purchase records into visual summaries and interactive models.

These features are designed to make financial data easier to interpret, allowing business owners to examine their records and identify useful insights without having to analyse every figure manually.

For small businesses with limited resources, simplifying financial analysis could help make routine record-keeping and business planning more manageable.

Small Businesses Already Using Gemini

Google said tens of millions of small business owners are already using Gemini for activities such as developing product ideas, reviewing customer feedback and assessing business performance.

The company highlighted examples from different parts of the world to demonstrate how the technology is being used in everyday business settings.

In France, a ceramic artist uses Gemini to prepare product descriptions, newsletters and social media posts, reportedly saving two to three hours each day.

In Maharashtra, farmer and content creator Santosh Jadhav used Gemini to assess whether soil was suitable for ginger cultivation, estimate seed requirements and prepare an investment budget. He undertook this work despite having no formal training or access to local mentors.

Global Rollout of the New Features

Google said the business landing page, marketing and finance tools, and additional app integrations would start becoming available globally to Gemini app users in the coming days.

The update reflects Google’s effort to make Gemini useful across several aspects of running a small business, from creating promotional material and understanding financial records to managing customer relationships.
