Delhi is experiencing a gradual change in weather as October progresses, with cooler winds making mornings and late evenings more comfortable. However, sunshine during the afternoon continues to keep temperatures relatively high across the national capital.
According to the latest weather bulletin from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a cyclonic circulation extending from northern Rajasthan towards Madhya Pradesh, along with a trough, is influencing regional wind patterns. South-easterly winds are prevailing over Delhi-NCR following the withdrawal of the monsoon.
The weather department expects dry conditions to continue, with no rainfall forecast for the capital on October 11, 2026. Temperatures are likely to remain warm during the day, while mornings and evenings may offer some relief.
Delhi Weather Forecast for October 11, 2026
Delhi is likely to experience partly cloudy skies on Sunday, October 11, according to the IMD forecast. No rain is expected, and dry weather conditions are likely to prevail throughout the day.
The maximum temperature is forecast to range between 32°C and 34°C, while the minimum temperature may remain between 22°C and 24°C.
South-easterly winds are expected to blow at speeds of 10 to 25 kilometres per hour at different times of the day. The IMD has not issued any weather warning for Delhi for October 11.
Delhi Temperature Remains Above Normal
Despite more comfortable conditions during the early morning and evening, daytime temperatures in Delhi remain slightly higher than the seasonal average.
During the previous 24 hours, Safdarjung recorded a maximum temperature of 36.1°C, which was 1.9°C above normal. The minimum temperature at the station stood at 23.8°C.
There could be some relief in the coming hours, as the IMD has forecast a decrease of 1°C to 2°C in the maximum temperature over the next 24 hours.
This expected decline may make afternoon conditions somewhat more comfortable, although the city is likely to continue experiencing warm weather.
Delhi-NCR Weather Forecast From October 12 to 16
Partly cloudy skies are expected to persist across Delhi and the National Capital Region from October 12 to October 16. The IMD does not anticipate rainfall during this period, indicating that dry conditions are likely to continue.
Across North Delhi, North-West Delhi, North-East Delhi, West Delhi, Central Delhi, Shahdara, East Delhi, New Delhi, South-West Delhi, South-East Delhi and South Delhi, maximum temperatures are expected to range between 32°C and 35°C.
Minimum temperatures are likely to remain between 22°C and 25°C.
With no rain forecast over the coming days, residents can expect relatively pleasant mornings and evenings, while afternoon sunshine will continue to keep temperatures on the warmer side.
