Delhi Metro commuters may face travel disruptions on Monday, October 12, as the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced temporary entry and exit restrictions at six metro stations. According to the advisory, the restrictions began at 6 AM and are scheduled to remain in place until 4 PM.

The decision comes amid a planned opposition INDIA bloc march to the Supreme Court demanding action against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over allegations of “vote theft.” DMRC announced the restrictions through a social media post and appealed to commuters to cooperate with metro staff.

Which Six Delhi Metro Stations Are Affected?

The DMRC advisory identifies the following stations where entry and exit will remain closed during the specified period:

  • Rajiv Chowk
  • Patel Chowk
  • Janpath
  • Mandi House
  • Central Secretariat
  • Barakhamba Road

Although passengers will not be able to enter or exit these stations during the restriction period, interchange facilities will remain available at all six locations.

DMRC has indicated that further updates will depend on a review of the situation after 4 PM. Commuters should check the latest official announcements before starting their journeys and consider alternative transport arrangements if necessary.
