Vegas Strip combines casinos, rooftops and storm drains, offering a mix of long-range engagements, vehicle combat and close-quarters battles. The varied layout is designed to support different approaches to combat across the map.
Area 51 features a desert military base, underground tunnels and a crater. Players will have access to a range of vehicles, including tanks, helicopters, jets and dirt bikes, creating opportunities for both ground and aerial combat.
The update also introduces four weapons: the Mk 24 assault rifle, RSPR personal defence weapon, Z84M light machine gun and ELR-40 bolt-action sniper rifle. These weapons become available when Season 5 content unlocks at 5:30 PM IST.
REDSEC Gets Rapid Royale and Ranked Battle Royale Changes
The REDSEC mode is receiving a new experience called Rapid Royale. This faster-paced battle royale mode features fewer players, quicker movement of the fire ring and redeploys that players can earn during matches.
Ranked Battle Royale is also moving out of Battlefield Labs. The mode will introduce redesigned rank badges and new rewards as part of the update.

Update 2.1.1.0 Brings Gameplay Balance and Quality Improvements

One notable adjustment affects 70mm light rockets. Their splash damage will be reduced by 30%, while the resupply cooldown will increase from 28 to 38 seconds.
Mobile anti-air weapons will receive faster projectiles and further tuning intended to improve their reliability against aircraft.
The update also includes changes to REDSEC class equipment, Field Training, spectator tools and Portal creation options. Additional fixes address weapons, the user interface, audio and game stability.
The overall update combines new seasonal content with balance adjustments and technical improvements across the two game experiences.
Free Trial and Battlefield 6 x Dead Space Event Announced
Players will be able to try Battlefield 6 for free on PlayStation and Steam from October 15 to October 19, 2026. The trial will include all available maps and modes. EA has not listed Xbox as a platform for this particular trial.
Following the trial, the Battlefield 6 x Dead Space Convergence event will run from October 20 to November 7, 2026.
The crossover introduces Marker Incursion, a 16-player player-versus-environment (PvE) event in which participants face AI-controlled enemies.
