The Ministry of Ayush is expanding the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across Ayurveda and other Ayush systems through the Ayush Grid digital platform. The initiative is being developed to support applications in healthcare, research, education, information services and investment facilitation.

The ministry is building an emerging AI ecosystem that combines specialised applications with collaborations involving national AI initiatives. Several AI-powered tools are being developed to serve citizens, researchers, students, medicinal-plant traders, yoga practitioners and prospective investors in the Ayush sector.

AI Chatbots for Healthcare, Research and Education

The ministry is developing AI-based chatbots and digital assistants, including MAISP, eLMS and e-CHARAK, along with the ARP Research Assistant. These platforms are intended to provide digital support across different areas of the Ayush ecosystem.

The tools are being designed to address the needs of different user groups, including students and researchers, while also supporting information related to medicinal plants, yoga and Ayush-related activities.

Yoga Saarthi and Nivesh Saarthi

The ministry has also highlighted Yoga Saarthi, an AI-powered chatbot designed to provide yoga recommendations. Another tool, Nivesh Saarthi, functions as an AI assistant focused on investment opportunities and information in the Ayush sector.

According to the ministry, the development of these services reflects the evolution of Ayush Grid from conventional digital portals towards more interactive and intelligent platforms designed around user needs.

Ayush Grid Expands Multilingual Digital Access

The Ministry of Ayush is also collaborating with IndiaAI and Bhashini as part of its efforts to expand digital accessibility. Through this work, Ayush Grid portals are being made available in 22 scheduled Indian languages.

The ministry said the integration of AI and multilingual technology is helping broaden the reach of Ayush-related digital services and information to users across the country.
